How to read the value of the cards!

Post by WetLight »

Hi, i am new here, so i just want you to know that i used the search engine but haven't found my answer.

Some games you use 3 cards as long you have 3 different collors, right? But how do i know which one will give me more troops? I used 3 cards yesterday and got about 4 troops and my opponent got 10 troops for his 3 cards!

Thanks in advance!!

In Escalating, the spoils (cards) increase each time someone cashes. The colors do not matter. The values are: 4 - 6 - 8 - 10 - 12 - 15 and then increases by 5 thereafter.

In Flat Rate, red sets are worth 4, green are worth 6, blue are worth 8, and mixed (one of each) are worth 10.

You can find what Bones wrote if you clik on the "Instructions" tab at the top of the page and then on "Game Options". It's the 5th point, under the heading "Spoils", yeah, I know, it sucks that Hasbro has copyrighted the term "cards".

Thanks so much everyone!

Here is what is written on the instructions:
"Spoils
Escalating groups are worth 4,6,8,10,12,15,20... (i.e. the first group of spoils turned in by any player is worth 4 troops, the second group is worth 6, etc.)"

Since i want to be a 100% sure, on "escalating" no matter which 3 cards i hand in, i will only get 4 troops for the first time, and 6 for the second and so on??

The first set cashed in gets 4.
The second gets 6.
The third gets 8.

It doesn't matter which player turns it in, the number still increases.

So lets say you are in a game with me.
I am the first player to cash in a set of cards.
Since it is an escalating game, I get 4 bonus troops from cashing in those cards.
Next, you cash in your own cards. Since you were the second to cash, you get 6 armies.
Then i come back and cash again and get 8 armies.

Do you get that?

Close, your right about the no matter which set of cards it is. But say you turn in a set of cards for 4 troops, than you opponent turns his cards in, he doesn't get 4, he gets 6. And then if you are the next to turn in cards, you'll get 8, and so on and so forth..

Hope that helps...
