- This suggestion has probably been made before, I’d be surprised if it hasn’t. I couldn’t find any mention of it though, so here goes.
I’ve seen a few complaints about 1v1’s favouring the first player. Because who ever goes 1st gets to deploy an average of 8 and can instantly reduce his opponent to 7. Which means player 2 is always on the back foot and playing catch up.
A similar problem occurs in 6-8 player games where the last to play can end up losing half his territs before he’s even clicked the begin button.
So my suggestion is this;
Round 1 should be forting only, no attacks allowed. This would give each player the opportunity to consolidate the area of the map he believes is his best starting position.
This will improve the following aspects of the site:- Reduce the number of complaints about losing due to playing last.
- Give everybody an even break.

And it increases the complaints about starting with a bonus.
If I start with a bonus, then I get one round to collect it without the other player being able to do anything.

Then there's another suggestion to the game designers. The Neon Peon wrote:And it increases the complaints about starting with a bonus.

Ensure that no bonus zone is occupied by one player exclusively.

Re: No attacking in 1st round
This wouldn't solve anything, it would just delay everything by one round. Also, it would increase the advantage of a good drop in unlimited forts because someone with lots of connected territories could build a huge stack of armies, without the fear of the other person reducing their territory bonus by attacking the singles left behind.Namor wrote:Concise description:

Re: No attacking in 1st round
well if you had it where no one started with a bonus zone the drop wouldn't be very random. Also the amount of times you start with a bonus zone is practically zilch. The other fact is if someone started w/ 3/4 territories and one more close by the other person is automatically on the defensive any wayNamor wrote:Then there's another suggestion to the game designers. The Neon Peon wrote:And it increases the complaints about starting with a bonus.

And on a map like Pearl Harbor? AAs would all start neutral, and 5-6 planes in every group neutral as well?TheBro wrote:That's a good one.Namor wrote:Then there's another suggestion to the game designers. The Neon Peon wrote:And it increases the complaints about starting with a bonus.

I dont believe to be the last one in a sequential game is disadvantegous... There is no guaraantee the one who takes his turn first does well. Might have bad roll, and his reinforcements wud be nice for you....
Btw, this suggestion is made by a premium... ==>> http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewto ... =4&t=75280 it is your desicion how useful one this is or not.
And, to be last, if you are still worried about and dont take these above explanations convincing, you have freestyle option to play...
very well said. It is nothing different of letting turn2 to be turn1 . The demans here has an indefinite loop. Demand collapses.gameplayer wrote:This wouldn't solve anything, it would just delay everything by one round. Re: No attacking in 1st round
most maps you start with 4. it's only the bigass ones like world2.1 where you get 8. if you don't like that, just don't play 1v1 on that map. i know i don't...usually.
