It seems so, perhaps to make sure it was read? Anyways, it's a mute point nonetheless. Very few would agree that the names need to be changed.

You're rediculous dude. Calm the hell down man, its not really officially spelled one way or the other when you're writing it in English. People hear it and spell it how it sounds. Some people will use a C and some a K, and the K gives it more of the Greek feel, which is the whole point of the map. So back off cause it makes no difference anyway, let me know if you have a real complaint.

There is no way winston churchill said all of the exclamation marks. No way...

And also, you're bitching over a trivial matter. I would not expect Mr. K or Lack to bother changing things up over a dispute over a C and a K. hell, C and K work hand in hand. They're friends. They work together, why can't you learn to work together. Kick, stick, lick, tick, lock, lack, sack, they join forces and produce a tremendus Ckuh sound.

On second thought mr k, just put a C and a K in there anywhere you have a K and that other guy who's name i can't remember wants a C. Just to be fair. Why separate two loving friends?

Well, I really couldnt translate some names to English... Some like Xingu and Aripuanã are indigenous names and simply cant translate... Some others I think dont exist too... Have all chinese cities names in English? Surely, only some of the most important... same idea here.

And, there are names I could translate, but dont did it, because you wouldnt understand the why behind the name... and as I cant really do a good translation, the names could seem silly. So:

Natal: Christmas
Rio Negro: Black River
Triângulo: Triangle
Campo Grande: Great Field
Porto Velho: Old Port
Porto Alegre: Happy Port
Belo Horizonte: Beautiful Horizon
Montes Claros: Clear Hills
Etc.

Isnt it better as it is now?

I think you misunderstand me, Marvaddin: I wasn't objecting to the names on the Brazil map. I was just using it an example of an existing map that didn't need Anglicized country names, to demonstrate how silly it was to demand that names on the Greek map be changed.

No, I didnt misunderstand... I was only explaining my option to show that sometimes English names dont contribute for the game atmosphere... like in Asia map, too. Sometimes, they arent even possible.

But seriously, did you never want to know the meaning of those names?

Willgas, you're ridiculous. First off, not that it matters, but K's do give it more of a Greek feel. Because Greeks don't have C's, so it looks less Greek when you're using letters that Greeks don't use.

But I dont even know why I bothered saying that, cause this argument is POINTLESS. Stop bitching about nothing. There are good reasons to have spelled it either way, and I chose to use K's. If someone else made this map and spelled it with a C, I wouldn't give a shit. You shouldn't either.

also, if you tell me it sounds more Greek, i better put a k in front of every thing that should be a c. However it does not sound more Greek

dude, shut up. You are bitching about nothing.

Mr. K if you change a damn thing i will lose all respect for you.

Hell, even if it should change he better not, it makes it more fitting seeing as it is Mr K's map. He loves the K. He's Mr. K.

Are you serious dude? I'm assuming you're greek judging by your avatar and your sig, but i'm doubting it after this comment. Maybe you're Greek and you've never heard any one speak the language, cause if you have then you'd know how absurd that is.

The Islands are pronounced "Kee-Klad-Thes", and Kyklades does a fairly good job at giving that pronunciation and stays true to how its really spelled. Cyclades makes it seem like the islands should be pronounced "Psy-Clades." How does that sound more right?

also, if you tell me it sounds more Greek, i better put a k in front of every thing that should be a c. However it does not sound more Greek

Wtf dude. If you're trying to mimick Greek using English, you probably should replace any c's with k's. But aside from that rare occasion when you might be trying to do that, no, you shouldn't.
As for me, I didn't replace any c's with k's. K's are what have always been there. I don't care if some British people decided to use a C when they first wrote down a couple of these names, good for them. They can keep using a C, i'll keep using a K. It makes no difference, cause when I read what they wrote, I know what they're referring to, and vice versa. So get over it.
