Hes an awesome manager but he has been spendin, he spent 12.5 million on sidwell and cuellar alone. He also bough Shorey not sure how much for and others I cant remember.

I've tried to search the internet to discover exactly what Villa have spent in recent seasons, but cant find a straightforward list of 'who they bought / what they cost / in date order.'

All I can see from whats in front of my eyes, is that Martin O'Neil is the sort of manager that brings out the best in average players. His time at Leicester was the reason that team stayed in the premiership like they did.

From what I can see is that he's got a very english team, and I don't care what anyone says - a team of primarily one language, helps everyone understand when a player shouts out instructions.

it's about bleeding time. Stephen Ireland was magnificent. it all gelled together in the 1st half. went a bit shit 2nd half, because he brought on Jo. he couldn't hold it up as good as Caicedo. the young Equadoria is looking not bad at the moment. maybe not a wasted 5.2m.

i'm glad he played Elano instead of Vassell.

Milner- 12m
Cuellar- 7.8m
Shorey- 3.5m
L. Young- 6m
Guzan- 0.6m
Freidel- 2.5m
Sidwell- 5m
Davies- 8m

Total- 45.4 million pounds.

I think we win. Although I didn't think it was quite that much

5 to 10 years ago I think the old firm were better than most of the English teams bar the biggest like Man United etc. Now I don't know with the likes of Villa, City and Spurs spending tens of millions. Soon their will be better teams in the EPL than the CL.

Woot WGS finally realised playing football doesn't work against yous and just defended and hit on the break. Great goal from McDonald, poor poor Boyd he has scored with virtually every chance this season but the one that mattered most he screwed up

When they scored i was really annoyed, i was proper pissed off. Then when nasri scored i was sooooo happy!!!

Anyone else notice Aston Villa being lucky lately. I really dont think they will finish top 4 if they carry on playing like they are. So many lucky wins. How long before the luck runs out.
