Players that are being a distraction and advocates poor/flawed choices/actions are usually more harm than good so so far I'm not seeing the problem.

We can't be completely sure that the Americans are the majority, for the French to be automatically assigned to one side, would likely mean the British have some sort of advantage aswell, though we haven't seen any evidence yet, there might still be some third parties, such as Spain or Prussia.

I'm not sure the French were automatically going to be aligned to the Americans. It was probably likely, but somehow I think something has happened. Maybe a certain number of British had to die first, since the French joined the Americans in the real Revolution after the Battle of Saratoga, where they were assured that the Americans could win.

I don't know too much about the history, but I'm assuming the French never considered joining Britain. So it was probably not a matter of who join, but instead a matter of when to join the Americans. Perhaps the Americans started with fewer members then the Brits, and it is now more evened out due to the French joining up with the Americans.

When I said derf wasn't making sense (or something to that effect) I meant it in a way that derf was really acting malevolent more than anything in this game. The way he's been playing, I really don't' see him aligned with either side. So, I'm keeping my vote.
