Re: classic map?
I used to play this game a while back, thought I would start playing again. Why?
Re: classic map?
Why what?
Re: classic map?
I believe you will find the answer HERE.
Re: classic map?
why were you asking, does it mean the map was canceled? is it still available to play?
Re: classic map?
Copyright issues. Now we have Classic Art and Classic Shapes. Same game play though, just takes a little getting used to.
You would think you were pulling teeth with some of the answers you are getting.

As a kid, we played on a 1963 edition that we got cheap at a garage sale... the following Christmas my parents got us a BRAND NEW RISK GAME which used plastic pieces. We played it once and put it away for good because we all preferred playing with the wooden blocks... lol... my parents were perplexed when they saw us playing with the old one in the ratty box...Megadeth666 wrote: THIS IS THE BOARD I USED TO PLAY 30 YEARS AGO, WITH TINY SQUARE PIECES OF WOOD AS ARMIES LOL
Today, I have a 1959 game, a 1963 game, a newer CastleRisk that we never use, and RISK 2210 which is pretty cool, but it rarely gets used because when we play they want to use what they already know...
I really want to get my hands on the original 1957 French board game... called La Conquete du Monde (The Conquest of the World)...

Re: classic map?
So the classic maps that are in existence now are just in the same basic shape as the original RISK map?
