Time Limits, Dead Beats, Missing Turns....
There should be time limits on turns for premium members. Sometimes I want to play a quick game with 5 min turns. We play quick, and like to get games done. And I would like to play with other people besides just my friends who are ready to sit in front of the computer and just bang out a game right then and there. I saw someone suggested 30 minute timed games in another post. I think there should Definitly be options, because 30 mins defeats the point of having a quick game. i understand every once in awhile a turn can take a long time, but most turns are done within 5 mins. That way everyone plays one game at a time until its done. If you get 30 mins games, people who are losing might just quit, then Ill have to wait an hour and 1/2 to watch them get deadbeat status. Also, why doesnt the winning player/players get the deadbeats points. i understand because people were cheating or whatever, but It gives people the option to just deadbeat out of a game when they are losing. Also, if you miss a turn you should get those armies back. AND if you must give the armies back (after missing a turn), they should get the armies they deserve for what they held. Like If I hold SA and miss my turn then someone attacks me and I come back and I only get 6 armies. I should be getting 8. Those are my suggestions for now. The new maps are cool, and I like most of the improvments. Also, I have a parter who I play a lot of 2-2 games in the Classic Map, with no fortifications, and no cards. We are undefeated so far, and would love to play 2 people who are ranked decently and will play all their turns and not become a deadbeat.

Hmm.... You seem to have a lot to say, paragraphs might help..
Anyways the different turn times option I believe is being worked on by Lack but may not happen for a while.
The reason people don't get points from deadbeats is because they didn't really have to do anything to beat them, all they had to do was wait.
Also I don't think your suggestion about missing turns would work because it would allow people to get an unfair bonus just because they missed their turns. As nice as it would be, it would allow people to burn a bunch of troops taking some huge continent leaving it barely defended then missing their next turns on purpose and getting the armies even though it had been taken away.
And me and my partner would probably be willing to play you at some point if we ever have an open game....

I don't think the winners should get points from deadbeats seeing as a lot of the time it's going to be people who just never play rather than the people who don't wanna lose points. I say to counteract that, it should be that the deadbeats lose points but the winners don't get points from them. This would stop people from dropping games they were going to lose(i hope) and it wouldn't give the winners points for doing nothing.

umm...with all due respect, why play if not for the points? it's not like there is much practical skill learned or am i missing something?eye84free wrote:GOOD POINT...BUT SOMETIMES POINTS DONT MATTER TO PEOPLE.
