Good point, i dunno why i do it, i guess its just like me in real life to. i do it all the time, (better start working in keeping RL away from mafia)

anyway since im already on the case, i don't hundred percent sure know but its a random vote 100% unless hes just out to get someone out of spite or revenge which would make them feel it would be to risky so they wouldn't do it anyway

If you're really town, then you just painted a huge bullseye on your head, but didn't help the town any. At least with a full claim the town might be able to verify your night actions somehow or a doc might know whether to protect you or not. The kind of thing you said is also often used as a threat by mafia, right along the lines of "Lynch me so you'll see I'm town" or "You will be sorry if you lynch me". If it were a more experienced player saying what you just said, I would insist you be lynched immediately.

In order words, you should claim.
