The tournament will consists of 3 stages: 2 group rounds and a final.
The groups will be organised to keep the standard as evenly spread as possible.
Here are the rounds:
Round 1 - 6 Groups of 6

Unlimited Reinforcements
No Fog
Each group will play 4 maps in this order:
Iceland
Italy
Malta
BeNelux
Points will be awarded as follows:
1st: 8 points
2nd: 5 points
3rd: 3 points
4th: 2 points
5th: 1 point
6th: 0 points
The top three players from each group at the end of Round 1 progress to Round 2.
In the event of a tie, the player who has survived the most turns will go through.
Round 2 - 3 Groups of 6

No Fog
Each group will consist of two Round 1 winners, two Round 1 runners up and two Round 1 3rd place players.
Each group will play 4 maps in this order:
Germany
British Isles
France
Iberia
Points will be awarded in the same way as Round 1.
The top 2 players from each group at the end of Round 2 will progress to the final.
Same tie-break rules as Round 1.
Round 3 - Final - 1 game of 6 players
For the final round there will be one game on the Europe map.

I need 36 players, and there will be room for 4 reserves in Round 1. If there are any dropouts after Round 1 they will be filled by the 4th place player from the same group as the dropout in Round 1.
Players will have 60 hours notice to join their games.

Day 49: 2009-01-08 - Group 3 start their second game after didi2606 deadbeated in the first game - Group 3 is down to 5 players
Day 100: 2009-02-28 - Round 2 finishes and the Grand Final begins! The final 6 players battle it out on Europe
