. The euroleague season has begun, and I would like to bring it here, on our dear CC.
The rules are simple. Basically, there are 24 teams, who will compete against each other in 1 on 1 games. All the games are sequential. Each player will select his home preferances (map, cards, reinforcements, fow). I am running this tournament based on the real euroleague schedule, and since it has begun a few weeks ago, we will play the first several rounds as fast as we can, and when we catch up with the schedule, we will be playing according to it (one game per week, wednsday or thursday, depending on your schedule). Freemiums are welcome, but I must ask you to keep 2 slots open.
Rules:
There will be 4 rounds in this tournament, each will have its own setting.
ROUND 1:
4 groups containing 6 players each. Every team will play 10 games each. The best 4 of every group advance to top 16.
TOP 16:
4 groups. Round-robin system. Each team plays 6 games within its group.
The best two teams from each group advance to the Quarterfinal Playoffs.
NOTE: if two players have the same amount of points, the score difference will decide who the better placed one is. The score difference is the amount of rounds in all of your games. The less number of rounds, the better score difference you have.
QUARTERFINAL PLAYOFFS:
4 quarterfinal series. Best-of-five series between first- and second-placed finishers from the Top 16.
The four series winners advance to the Final Four. First placed teams have the home advantage of course.
FINAL FOUR:
The four quarterfinals winners will meet in best of seven-game semifinals.
The semifinals losers will play best of seven-games for third place.
The semifinals winners will play in the best of seven-games Final.
The winner of the Final will be the Euroleague Champion.
NOTE: Only the final four will be played on the map of Berlin (no cards, unlimited, no fog).
IMPORTANT NOTE: I've changed the final four settings to best of seven in all the games, so that luck doesn't influence the outcome that much. So it's best of seven, same map, same settings.
