Nah, not keen on the idea of non disclosure at all Jim, hubris is the word, and it's not yours. This is a friendly interesting competition. Now we are already getting contributors acting like it's all something special. Disclose the Author and have done with it. This is not the fucking booker prize for crying out loud....sheeesh. Next thing, you'll get a load of entries all with the authors swinging their handbags around saying they want to be alone.

heheh, well i will disclose the winner, as i already said. I won't disclose those who do not win, as i've been asked not to. I think that's fair.

It was a grand work mate.

I think the consensus was that the Passage length should be no more than 360 words. And that PM, anonymous entry is good.

That said, i am not sure i can continue with the maintenance of this project at present.
the site is far too much of a drain on my time and sanity at present. I am very happy for someone else to take on its husbandry in my absence.

I am sorry to abandon this for the time but it is an obligation i can not meet fully at this moment.

Just wondering...

So what's the plan for this thread now that Jimi's on a wee (hopefully) break?
Anyone have any suggestions? It will all too quickly fall off the page without upkeep and that'd be a shame after all the work that's gone into it.
What do you guys think?

because they all work out all the time, usually in slow-motion.

Agreed, it would be a shame. What jim was saying about shorter entries was a good idea IMO - gives the story more opportunity to veer off into craziness, makes it easier to enter, and easier to read, too. Basically we need to come up with some new rules!

Do we have anyone volunteering to take it over and keep it alive? I'd do it but a) I haven't followed too much, b) I'm running a mafia game atm and c) I want HC to do it.

If you want shorter passage rules though why not simply change the word limit, say, to between 50 and 200 words and shorten the entry time by two days or so?
