Possible copyright infringement is serious business. If you have some ideas throw them out there, but I think its safe to assume, if he's changing things, its a rational thought out business decision based on legal advice, not a whim, act of fear, or anything like that.

i personally like spoils better than anything, maybe if we change the wording of the cash to something like "Herakilla sold ____, _____, _____ spoils and hired X mercenaries" it would sound better??

You can find in any stores to bye any kind of cards,and every body call then cards,even you have tons of board games when you use cards,and i think that word card is old for 200-300 years. How can someon have right to use words who is so much old

but with absolute honesty i do not care in the least about the terminology change or even the dice!
if it helps the site stay open that is great!

i do care about what replaces the classic map ... and feel very strongly about getting the best possible alternative within the bounds of what allows the site to not be shut down!

but the most important thing is that the site does not get shut down.. and if we have to refer to the virtual representation of a numbered cube by another name or call the metaphorical, digitised, pictorial contrivances of papery bonus objects 'Spoils' or 'Booty' or even friggin 'Hedley Lamar'! that is fine by me.

You cannot copyright a word but you can do it for a specific use of words/language in a specific situation, games are no different from books or movies.
Words like Frodo, Hobbit, Mordor and Ring are free to use but if you start writing a story about a hobbit named frodo that's delivering a ring to mordor then you will be in trouble.

Spoils is IMO a great word for how you gain it and what it does.
