So by the process of elimination, cena, LSU, and browng are the only people that aren't confirmed town. My prime suspect is LSU. He's been submarining and not adding much to the discussion. His last post regarging simon seemed very undecided and unsure. What do you guys think?

Switch LSU with ace, and skunk with possum, and we have the exact arguement I had for ace, and remember how that turned out? You should investigate him and we'll let ani protect you. The only thing worse than letting mafia get a free kill is lynching a non-mafiate and then letting the mafia have their pick. Ani, I trust you know who to protect when night falls? I'll be watching.

That's what I thought. dunc, what'd you mean, you're surprised scum didn't jump in with the hammer? He's L-3. Besides, I don't think there's even been enough of a case for him for even scum to jump on. Certainly later in the game, where they'll have to be more careful.

Quite frankly, it didn't turn out that badly. Lynching a survivor on day one is a lot less harmful than losing a power role, or even a vanilla townie. And for all we know, it weakened the cat somehow. It could have made simon open to investigation, as sometimes the godfather comes up as town (not this time!)

And with regards to LSU, it's a different scenario than ace was. Ace claimed a third party role, which is believable for a possum. LSU, on the other hand, claimed town. As a skunk. Now where I hail from, it is absolutely unheard of to keep a skunk as a pet. And I can't imagine it's a popular choice down in the states, either.

On a final note, maybe we should let Sam use his vig-kill on LSU. Browng, you're absolutely right that we can't afford to lynch a townie today, that would cost us the game. But if we go no-lynch, there's a reasonable chance I'll wind up dead overnight, and we won't be any farther forward. If Sam kills LSU, on the off-chance that he's a townie, we'll still have another chance to lynch scum before the game goes to the mafia.
