Is this legal?? [settled]

Postby Fuzzylogic99 on Sat Oct 18, 2008 5:51 pm

I do not know where to post this and this seems like the best place to ask.

A player PM me a link that said something like something cool about cc.I clicked on the
link and it took me to a game.I thought it was an artical or something .Thats waht the link sort of implied I tried to leave but the game began when I clicked on the
link.Normally i would not click on a link like that but

a) it was from a high ranking player that been around awhile
B) I heard of this player and have heard nothing negative about them so I figured
they were honest .

I felt a bit tricked and Im sure that other player players would not apppreciated
being tricked into playing.Instead of asking me if I wanted to play the posted a
link to the game under false premise.Like I said this seems to be a bit dishonest

I dont know if I can file a complaint. Can someone advise me if this person did something wrong

yes i know its partly my fault for clicking on the link

Thanks for any advice

No, sending fake 'join game' links to people certainly isn't OK. Post all the info you have here (the actual PM if you still have it, the game number and the user who sent you the PM) and we'll work on a proper form.

Seems to me like it should have been a link but there is a . . . in it, it's not a game link.

He didn't quote it.

Here's what you do fuzzy, quote the pm (open it and look at the top right hand corner of the message) and then copy and paste that into here.

Game 3482368

i wonder how many other folks have been tricked this way.....

the chat is weird too, almost seems premeditated

the fact that the game started immediately after he hit join, these two guys were prolly waiting for him to force him in.

the more i look at it, the more ridiculous it is, why would king herpes want to have his score reset?

heres the link .oddly when i clicked on it was blank.Dont know why

Link to game
http://www.conquerclub.com/player.php?m ... rt=&page=1 about CC it's good stuff.

i find it odd King Herpes would do such a thing he seem like a pretty honest dude.
Thats the main reason I even clicked on it bc it didnt seem like something he would do.
i feel bad about reporting him bc i dont want him to get in trouble .I just dont want him to
keep doing that.Posting fake links

Fuzzy, go to your inbox, click on that message. Click the quote button. The message should appear in a text box. Copy all of the text from the box and paste it, as it is into a new post in this thread. If you are having trouble with that, PM me. Also, to make it easier for the hunters, could you please edit your first post, to show the form:

I am not sure, but a few more comments like that and I would seriously say you and him are the same account.

1. He tricked you into joining a game you do not want
2. You are not able to follow simple instructions and give us concrete evidence for how he broke the rules.
3. You, for some reason, believe everything he says, and forgive him for something he has committed many times when he just says "sorry"?

Seriously, you don't know him at all, he tricked you as he did many other people, and you still like him? Okay, does anyone know any other person who has liked being tricked in a situation like this?

I am not accusing you just yet. Give us the evidence by quoting the PMs he sent by following the instructions given earlier.

Just because he has points doesn't mean he's honest. He gets them by tricking people like you, and playing lopsided games. He's pretty much a huge dick. Hopefully this will get him banned.

why would I report myself that would be dumb.but if you feel the need go ahead I
have nothing to hide.I am a honest player/As far as not making a report...He could be lying
or he could be telling the truth.I dont know but from our converstion he seemed very sincere.
he apologized...and seemed like he would not do it agin.I feel like showing him some
mercy and grace.

From what you say, you must not wander into the forums too often. Any noob farmer tries to be as nice to the people he plays for easy points to get himself a high rating, knowing that half of the members that know what that person strongly dislike the person for just the act of farming, no matter how nice they may seem.

Also, if you need us to repeat again: he has done this 4 other times, and each time the outcome was the same: he "sincerely" apologizes and promises that he has learned his lesson just to not get himself banned.

If you think he is some kind and lovable fellow, I recommend that you read his profile, and some of his posts. Personally, I do not like it when people talk about STDs and of how they want to spread them all over the place. I also do not like people that go to such effort just to gain a few points that they are willing to lie, clearly abuse rules, and repeat the process multiple times each time acting so innocent and lovely.

i'm sorry, but you need to quote the private message. this sort of abuse is not acceptable. there are several other players who are getting duped into joining games they had no intention of joining, and you're going to just sit there?

come on. have a bit of integrity, here. show the colors. you already let the cat out of the bag, now let us see it.

I posted everything i have..

Honestly Im second guessing myself bc it seems like there sveral other players
who have had the same issue.I wonder though why they didnt file a report on
King if he did King did that them.It seem odd that they are begging me to do
it when it seems they did not do it themselves. You know me do there dirty
work.I dont know who to believe. From the mod responce it seems this was the
first time it was reported

I do want to do the right thing.Right sure Im not sure waht that is.I need to think about it
