on the map key beside the sanctuary it says holds the spell.
Anyone know what this means if anything?

Actually it says "hold the sanctuary to break the spell" or similar, which means "hold the sanctuary and win".

Be forewarned, there's about 90 neutral guys on the sanctuary, and you lose 10 dudes per turn around it.

The sanctuary has 75 men, and the surrounding territories each have 10. To win via the objective, you must hold the sanctuary when you hit the "Begin Turn" button.
