This will improve the following aspects of the site:
players cant dump points as easily
others wont know the dumper is trying to dunp points (if there are 100 2 player speed games it is obvious)

Another benefit is possibly that players who are playing only one or two speed games don't have to wait whilst a player with many completes all their other turns ... ?

Because people get mad when you try to limit the games they can play after promising that they can play an unlimited number of games. They already get mad that there's a 50 game limit for the waiting list.

I've suggested something of the sort in other threads... I never came up with a number. I think 5 games would be suitable, but 8-games would be best to avoid point dumping.

I don't think people should even have more than 3 speed games running at once. When I used to even run that many, I had a tendancy to miss turns, not something that makes players happy when they want speedy games.

It takes too long, much easier to press Start, then Create, about 50 times, instead of jumping around on settings.

Seriously, instead of click "start" then press "enter" it will be click "start" click on any map, then press "enter"

Half a second at most. Since you do not need to change all the settings and you can see a good deal of maps without scrolling. Just make it no more than 8

errr, well this topic wasnt what i was expecting. i agree with the rule, but not the reason. i was in a speed game with 2 other people. the guy who created it had over 20 speed games going on at once. its not fair to those of us playing in his games since we have to actually wait a while before the guy can go.

the whole point of a speed game is so we dont have to wait for someone to go. if you want to do that many games, why not just stick with casual?

anyway, the whole point of this is that the player should be restricted to a certain number of speed games, maybe less than 8, so that everyone else isnt waiting for one bastard to take his turn.

agreed...and 8 is a great amount..I personally can manage to play 5-6 1v1 speed games without leaving my opponent hanging around for more than a minute so it cudn't be less than that, but theres no way anybody can play over 8 games PROPERLY at the same time.

I say 2 freestlye speeds max, and 5-6 seq speeds max....there are differences between the 2
