OK this is how i break it down...

PS3: Very expensive, F***ing awesome technology, Great games coming.
Overall: The rich man's gaming system the very best there is concerning tech but the other two have certain advantages PS3 doesn't.

Xbox 360: Moderately priced, tech is awesome, Great games coming...HALO 3(There is a god!)
Overall: Console for the average gamer. A.K.A. those of us who love video games but don't have the money for f***ing 37' inch plasma screen TVs, 4 bedroom houses, and the money to buy a PS3 and then some.

Wii: Dirt cheap, tech is good, innovative but possibly less entertaining games.
Overall: Poor man's console, if you or your family don't have enough green for an xbox core console this is the one for you or if your just one of Nintendo's loyal b**ches

My choice...would have to be the 360 its perfect for me and my gaming needs, That and the PS3 is to F**king expensive. And the Wii? I'm not that poor, I would probably kill something with those damn "num chuck" controllers, Nintendo sucks now, and I do NOT want to break my TV if I lose my grip on the f**king controller(that BS is in the news. Plus...Last gen graphics?

as an all game-gamer, I think that it is a clever idea with nintendo to have the motion sensors, it is getting people more into virtual reality. The ps3 is going out of business soon since sony have gotten so little money from games, and I think the xbox is extremely interesting as well. I thionk it is going to be the

Halo fans, Microsoft (owner of X-Box), and middle class players
VS.
middle-low class kids, nintendo fans, and nintedno

I think the big question is who will win. I think nintendo may prevail with all of its armies of kids and hardcore nintendo fans, but x-box has HALO, wich already attracks many fans.

Sigh, Wii all the way. Your criticism seems to stem as far as: it's cheaper therefore it's a poor mans console.

Losing your grip of the controller and breaking your TV, I mean come one, how likely?

Once the prices go down i'm probably gonna get a 360 or ps3, whichever ends up on top, and a wii. The wii will have the innovative wierd games i like liek DDR and guitar freak, whiel the 360/PS3 will have the hard core games.

I'm hoping to blow about 500$ total on both of them, so i'm waiting for the price to drop a LOT

also:

The wii controller has a wrist strap so you don't drop it (more likely) or throw it into your expensive TV, if you dont' put on the wrist strap then you're playing with fire (a fairly expensive fire at that!)

You dont have to be rich to get a ps3. I mean cmon all youhave to do is save up money. If you have a decent job meaning you dont work at McDonalds then all you have to do is save up and it shoudnt take but maybe a month or 2.

Xbox 360 is just a prettier Xbox... My friends and I have perfectly fun link up games on the original Xbox with Forza Motorsport and those games only cost £5-10 each.

My opinion is - Why? Microsoft and PS3 have in their heads that next gen means better graphics and more shite added on to the console. IT'S A CONSOLE! I mean come on, how many of us don't have DVD players and have the money to buy a PS3 or Xbox 360? It's the same experience when it comes down to it, you don't come back to a game after you've been playing it for hours and marvel at the graphics over and over again, you still sit there with a pad wasting away.

Nintendo have hit the spot, and they dont brag. Brilliant! I have a Wii myself now and I must say, wow! I've clocked up over 24 hours of play in the first few days alone and I must say it's brilliant!

Best of all... The Wii is a console. It's designed for gaming, and not all this other crap that is in the 360 and PS3. It's more fun and not just a more powerful machine.

Well I've been repeating the same point over and over again:

Wii is innovative, more exciting and different. I've had enough of sitting on my arse pressing buttons all day it's time for something better!

And I've also just realised I've said everything said in the other thread... Oh well

Bold response: First of all that is complete BS, and secondly if you still think that after all this time you need to actually spend some time playing it or at least rethink your opinion cause it's friggin awesome

Italic response: thats the reason I dont want a Wii, unlike PS3 and the 360 it is solely for games sony and microsoft are in a race to make the ultimate media machine its kind of obvious.

Yeah, and in doing so they're forgetting the gaming part. As a gamer I want a Wii.

Then there are the cheap bastards like me!

My seven year old asked for a Gamecube from Santa because "Danny" has one. So I found one on eBay for $49. One new case and Qoob mod-chip later (for backup purposes of course

)...and we are happy campers. Mario-Kart for him, Zelda for me. Win Win!

It may not be the best...but everyone is dumping them to buy the overpriced new models.
