The Pacific Coast League

IMPORTANT: To join this tournament you must have a score of at least 1100 points upon sign up, 150 completed games, and a premium membership.

Welcome to the Pacific Coast League tournament, which features 16 players representing each of the 16 teams in one of baseball's premier minor leagues. This tournament will encompass the entire 144 game regular season schedule of the actual PCL, but will feature a slight twist to the playoff format to allow more players the chance to win the championship.

TOURNAMENT SETTINGS
All games will be 1 vs 1, sequential, flat rate, chained, and sunny. Each player must pick a team to represent and a home map that uses standard gameplay only. No maps with gimmicks or complex/confusing gameplay will be allowed. I reserve the right to veto any map choices. Map and Team choices will be given in order that they arrive. Please look carefully to may sure don't select a team or map that is already taken.

Please keep in mind that you will receive 8-10 new games to join every Saturday/Sunday, and will be playing 144 total games during the regular season. You will play the same people over and over on a regular basis. If these are things you will have trouble dealing with, please refrain from entering.

REGULAR SEASON
Each player will play a total of 144 regular season games in groups of 4 that will be sent to them on Sunday/Monday of each week. At the conclusion of all regular season games, the two divisions winners, along with the next two best teams from each conference will advance to the playoffs.

PLAYOFFS
The four playoff teams from each conference will be seeded 1-4 according to their regular season win/loss record. The #1 seed will play the #4 seed in a best of five series, and the #2 seed will play the #3 seed in a best of five series. The winner of each first round series will then play the in another best of 5 series to determine the conference champion. Yay, a proper 1v1 tourney :D I'm in. I'm assuming that Crossword isn't allowed? In that case I will take Space (is it allowed)? If there's a problem with both of the maps, please let me know.

And Albuquerque Isotopes, please.

Alright, you guys have been added. I will allow Siege and Crossword as they are both standard gameplay. I took a look at Solar System, and it looks to be standard as well, and the jump gates are perfectly easy to understand.

Waterloo and Battle for Iraq are gonna be too complex for this one. So killmanic, find me on MSN to discuss it.

Also, Battle of Actium uses bombardments and such, which is something I'm trying to stay away from. I pretty much don't want any maps used that have anything other than continent bonuses, one-way borders, or perhaps a simple helipad type feature.

The intent is to prevent players who are "experts" at one particular niche map from coming in and running the table on everyone else over the 144 games. :)
