This is probably a real dumb question but i have to ask it, Does a player who is involved in a tourney still gain/lose points on there rank bracket and also does a win with unique opponents in the tourney still go towards unique defeated for the medals?

There aren't dumb questions and simple answer is yes. Scoring is the same, medal system is the same, games work the same way.

Don't hesitate to jump into the world of tournaments

Thanks for the reserve invite but that map looks crazy, I play it in public games a couple of times and get slaughterd, i keep eye out for any future tourneys you host, love the set up just different map, and thanks for the response.

I didn't mean it as a personal invitation to my tournament (though it's cool that you noticed it in my sig ) but overall - keep an eye on the Create/Join tournaments forums and hopefully you'll find something that suits you.
