I disagree simply because of the way the original post was presented. Civil debate is always enjoyable, I've engaged in countless of them as well as countless mindless flaming rants. However, to me, the way this is presented doesn't sound to me like something that is practical. It sounds more like you don't like the way specific posting styles/ideas rather than a dislike of the etiquette in posting (which I could support).

What you consider "adamant, militaristic atheists/conspiracy theorists," can be considered as a very plausible explanation, and not even a "conspiracy theory," by many others. I would agree with many who say that those who are religious blindly follow religion... does that make me unable to participate in these said forum?

That's my view at least.

There's alot of conjecture going on here. We're discussing things and all have full time jobs to boot. Sorry if we're not getting back quickly, but don't immediately think that this guy or that is the reason you're not getting in. We each have a different idea about who to admit and when, and the idea of having three mods is specifically to hold down decisions based on personality conflicts and the like.

Right now I'm in favor of holding things down to a small number of people, just because it's easier to runs things with a small group while we are organizing. That doesn't mean that others will not eventually be invited in (it's certainly no fun arguing with people that agree with you all the time). Don't jump to conclusions; I've certainly said "Not yet" to more new members than BES. It isn't that we don't want you in; it's only that we're trying to make sure the environment is the best it can be when you arrive. Just be patient; this is new for us.

Yes, there are more JFs than GHs, but look at the numbers:
There are 11 JFs and only 1 GH in it, whereas overall the ratio is 8 to 1. And anyway, that doesn't matter. What matters is how many applied, and how many were rejected. I'm willing to bet that most, if not all of those rejected are in GH. And I'm also willing to bet that all JFs who applied got accepted. Also, to make it even one of the mods should be in GH since one of them is in JF.
