I'm not trying to offend you. I honestly think that area of the map isn't as clean and polished as others. I recognize that its "a text map in the strictest sense", but that doesn't excuse it from having unclean lines. I was simply trying to point out that those sidewalks are not integral to gameplay, and, therefore, would not severely detract from the map should they be covered by the legend.TaCktiX wrote:The legend is not intended to look like the actual map. It is a text map in the strictest sense, and should be interpreted in that way. Also, I would like to keep the map's adorning elements fully intact. Tossing out sidewalks as them being "unnecessary" is missing the thematic point of them being there in the first place (accuracy to the campus). Unnecessary edits simply for the sake of edits I'm not going to do. Adding one word to make the map clearer I will do.

I don't think yeti is talking about the font, rather the drop shadow and colours?TaCktiX wrote:The same font on the rest of the map is the font on the legend. I don't see a need to change the legend.

Version 24b

Yes- I think that could do it - I do prefer B - but I think it does look a bit off considering the other text on the map has no drop shadow at all. -> In fact the Parade Deck text is also Legend text and has no Drop either (for obvious reasons).RjBeals wrote:howabout instead of the drop shadow, just a really slight black outer glow? But of the 2 options above, I prefer B.

Just to enquire as to any answers to my post?yeti_c wrote:Yes- I think that could do it - I do prefer B - but I think it does look a bit off considering the other text on the map has no drop shadow at all. -> In fact the Parade Deck text is also Legend text and has no Drop either (for obvious reasons).RjBeals wrote:howabout instead of the drop shadow, just a really slight black outer glow? What are the three rules of Development on PC's?TaCktiX wrote:I'm stalling this map intentionally, as I need to clear the license of The Citadel (a fact I had overlooked until I found out the mere name is copyrighted). I was hoping to do so by being strangely quiet on my map's development, but hand hast been forcéd. That, and my hard drive reformatted itself again. I still have a source PSD, but bringing it back up to date with the present version may be a little difficult.

yeti what happens to anything I back up?TaCktiX wrote:I have two backups. One is older than the nice trees and I have immediate access to it, and the other is hopefully on Gimil's computer.
