Looks like it's from the Wizardry series, but the first few games all looked pretty much the same. Is it from the second game in the series? Wizardry: The Knight of Diamonds

Firstly, this isn't a game.
Secondly, it's Progress Quest.
Thirdly, I played it for weeks.

It IS a game, one of the "fire and forget" genre.

It has moving progress bars. Anyhoo... next pic...
This may be a tough one. I'll give you a hint. It was made in 1984 for the C64, Atari, and the Apple IIe. If it's not solved in the next few days, I'll tell you which major gaming company (that is still around) made it:

Alright, seems like a bit of a poser. I'll say it was made by Electronic Arts. Not much point putting up more screen shots as they all kinda look like that one

*sigh* Alright, a bit too hard it seems. The game was Realm of Impossibility for the C64. Great game in that it incorporated optical illusions.
So, we'll go onto an easier one (hopefully easier hehe):

Re: Name the Video Game, from the screenshot.
It certainly was. The setting was - you were the spaceship that left earth (at the end of Civ). In fact there were 7 spaceships that left, and during the long journey through space to Aplha Centauri, each of the ships factionalised, so you had 7 factions each with a specialisation:MeDeFe wrote:Was that some sort of sequel for Civilization?e_i_pi wrote:CorrectSalubri wrote:Alpha Centauri? It's about time, this baton was wearing calluses into me... your go Salubri
Spartan Federation - military
Gaia's Stepdaughters - environment
University of Planet - science
Peacekeeping Forces - diplomacy
Human Hive - social
Lord's Believers - religion
Morgan Industries - industrial
It was a great game... you could design your own units, so you could design and produce Settler units with weapons that could fight their way through enemy territory to outlying regions and settle there. Probably the best Civ series game I've played, I wish they'd remake it. The storyline was absolutely fantastic (yes, it had an actual storyline). Amazing cut-scenes too.
Re: Name the Video Game, from the screenshot.
It was all the rage back then in gaming magazines. Never got to play that though.
Anyway, here's the only game I have access to right now:
