Re: Football (real)
Why do germany always get drawn in a group of shit teams?
They always get a host nation and they only just manage to scrape their way out of the group.
Holland on the other hand are invariably drawn in the group of death.
I hope Holland let Romaina beat them tonight so that France and Italy can go home for an early bath.
Croatia are looking like a team that are going all the way without all the press hulabaloo that accompanies Spain, Portugal and England.
I want to see Portugal beat the Krauts 5-0

Pedro, if Germany don't play Podolski up front with Klose, instead of Gomez who is completely shit. then i think Portugal should beat them. anyone see that miss by Gomez, 3 yards out and ballooned it in the air and stood there watching, while a player 3 inches smaller than him ran back to his goalline and cleared it. the knobhead did not even attempt to challenge.Pedronicus wrote:Why do germany always get drawn in a group of shit teams?

You have no idea mate!!! I am, technically at least, a part owner of my team. Are you? It may not be a fashionable or wealthy club, but I am proud to be a Stockport County owner/supporter.tiberiusaquila wrote:Five weeks and no posts.

Re: Football (real)
Anyway Arsenal look very promising Our new away kit is a remake of the league winning arsenal team of the 88/89 season (god i remember watching that), here's a video of arsenal winning a miracle game against liverpool and what was for many people the most gripping top flight season in history (even non-arsenal fans).

Re: Football (real)
going to see arsenal v real madrid on sunday.
good to see our young reserve stars beat stuttgarts first 11 yesterday in the second half when they came on. Vela looked sharp, bendtner scored a great goal and then our youngest player rounded it off brilliantly, his name escapes me however. Good match, first half was full of misses but oh well

Re: Football (real)
right lads, the new season is approaching fast. City have bought 2 players uptil now, Jo(Brazilian centre forward) and Tal Ben Haim(Israeli defender). beat Streymur(Faroe Islands) 2-0 last night(4-0 agg) at Barnsley's ground Oakwell.
not to sure about Rangers's 0-0 against Kaunas(Lithuania), should be ok in the away leg, just like the run in UEFA cup last year. could not score at home, done the business away.
anyway, Shatners Bassoon pmed me and ask about doing a Fantasy Football league. so i'll see in this thread who is interested and tell him to post a seperate thread over the weekend. so don't be shy and reply.

Re: Football (real)
oh dear.
FBK Kaunas 2 Rangers 1 (agg 2-1) out of Europe before the SPL has even started.
watched it on the computer. 1st half played well, created chances and didn't give too any chance to them.that was until the last 5 mins, a free-kick flew in, everyone missed it(including MacGregor). close thing that was, a warning. 2 mins later, a free-kick from 25-30 yards out. a defender curled it in the top corner. 1-1 HT.
2nd half, what a complete fook up. they looked clueless andlost the ball too many times. Kaunas were starting to create chance after chance. it was only a matter of time, we had a couple of openings. then 3 mins to go, a corner for Kaunus and bang a powerful header downwards at the front post 2-1. this was scored from a bloke who played for Hearts and was totally shit for them.
instead of making changes with about 20 mins to go, Smith waited until it was too late and that is the end of Europe for this season for Rangers. concentrate on the league now.

I don't want to hijack the thread or anything like that, but if this is a thread for football fans, I figured maybe it wouldn't be too untoward of me to drum up some support for my tournament?
P.S. Yay Nottm Forest, we're back in the Championship

Re: Football (real)
Anyone see the young right back Rafael da Silva play for Man Utd v Juventus yesterday (0-0)?
United supporters or not, if any of you saw him you'd have to be impressed by his fearless defence in his debut at Old Trafford. Played with real focus and determination and skill as if he'd been first team forever. It's fun to see new blood step right up and show their best right off the mark.
You'll hear the name a lot in the coming months and years I think.

Well we got our amsterdam tournament on friday and saturday. We got mclarens team FC Twente as a qualifier so if you are a England fan you must be supporting us against that shitty ginger git mclaren. No hard feelings against FC Twente though.
