Tim: Yes, one involves a lot of physical and psychological pain, and the other one's war.

That is most assuredly Ice Pirates, my all-time favorite Robert Urich / Anjelica Huston movie.

Actually I recognized it from the first screenshot - I just hadn't been in this thread in a little while.
Dammit, something's wonky with my photobucket account. I don't have time to screw around with it right now, so I guess I'll have to pass. Someone else can toss one up there.

When you hit PrintScreen, to where is the picture saved? I tried it and it gave me no option.Salubri wrote:Pause movie at desired scene.suggs wrote:God, if only! Press PrintScreen key.
Open MS Paint.
Edit -> Paste.
I saw a turtle do it once...
Re: Name that movie from the screenshot!
I forgot what it's called, but it's like the clipboard or something. It's basically where the info for the things you "copy" get sent to. Or something. Or not.Curmudgeonx wrote:When you hit PrintScreen, to where is the picture saved? I tried it and it gave me no option.
So yeah press PrintScreen
Then open MS Paint and go to edit then select paste
This also works with MS Word.
The tricky part is if you have video/graphics acceleration, the picture won't "Stick" to the clipboard. So you have to disable the acceleration.
Control Panel -> Display -> Settings -> advanced -> troubleshoot -> then move the slider to "none" in the Hardware Acceleration slider section
If you don't do this and you PrintScreen with hardware acceleration, the picture you paste will be like a "screen" or a window or a hole. If you press play on the player, the image in MS Paint will still play the movie.

Wow, too much effort. Someone else can have my turn.

To post a shot:
Most DVD software players have a screencapture option. I use Kaffeine and VLC and in e.g in VLC under the Video menu there's a snapshot option.
You pause on the scene you want, and go find that option in the menu.
This'll save the file to a directory you then choose, or automatically to your home directory in GNU/Linux or "My Pictures" in Windows.
From there you upload it to a hosting site (I use ImageShack (no account needed)) making sure the filename doesn't have any clues you don't want to give away.
Copy the URL into a message in this thread and you've done it.

Very easy, but a gay FBI agent riverdancing in a room full of corpses is just too good not to post.Curmudgeonx wrote:Another easy one, Boondock Saints.
