I posted this idea a couple months ago in the ideas forum, but i would like to suggest it again in hopes it gets picked up.
There is a board game called settlers of catan(very great game by it's self) but i would like to see a map of that gameboard but modified to accommodate risk's rules.
Basically the game takes place on an island that is just recieving new settlers, you can build roads and settlements, as well as collect resources. and a few other twists.
If someone would pick it up, i'd be happy to assist with gameplay, being as i know the actual game, and as far as copyright goes, i think it would be okay as long as we tweak some names and colors.

I think a settlers type map would do well and be interesting, though I am not sure of that hexagonal board structure.

Re: Settlers of CC (idea)
the hexagons are the actual board, but we might be able to find something that would work better

Re: Settlers of CC (idea)
I could see hexagons working just fine. It would make it a little interesting because every country except the ones next to the ocean would have 6 borders, so players couldn't just hole themselves up in one place without having to defend a lot. On the other hand, it wouldn't be too chaotic because players could get additional land without increasing their borders too much. I would like to give it a try. What were you thinking on the lines of countries, bonuses, etc?
