Grim, I think your version is far better..all personal opinion...
On a side note, I now have p-shop (7 I think)....in a nutshell, how do you tint the diff continents like that? Cutouts and layers?
Perhaps you can recommend a good training aid for the program.....

This is something I've been reluctant to discuss on the board, because I like to keep my secrets, but since I heart everyone in this thread I'll post it here...
I have a huge National Geographic Atlas that has the best topographical maps in the world... I scan one in, and then duplicate the layer as many times as the number of continents I want. Then under Image Adjustments, mess with the hue/saturation until it's just right.
So simple, yet so effective. I really think it yields the most professional results of any map on the site, besides the Classic and Asia.

You need to go to your control panel and set the inanity cache to 256k, then you should be fine.Machiavelli wrote:I have been reading this since it was in the fifties pages, and was trying to catch up by reading all of the previous posts but whenever I would get into the teens my computer would mess up.
By all means jump in, and welcome, though you need to pick up a copy of "Being a regular for dummies" - I think Hoff might be able to sell you one second-hand.

Huh? Kool, sometimes you're just zany. And by zany, I mean zany.KoolBak wrote:

Count 6 posts north. Is that what you're asking? Or what's Mach-o-velli? A futuristic Italian political theorist who travels at the speed of sound? I'm not sure which joke you're making that I'm not getting. Zany.

My point was (here comes the feeble inductive logic thread) that he / she indicated they were going to start posting and I was looking for a storm o' posts but found nada......

I was just telling everyone about my arrival because it seemed that your thread was an exclusive group consisting of about six people.KoolBak wrote:Hey Rocko...I'm just a zeke (Oregonianese for zany), you are correct!
