Something NON-controversial!!!

Postby Freetymes on Fri Nov 03, 2006 1:00 pm

Is this forum up for something we don't have to argue about???
I hope so.

Ok kids the first in what may become a series of questions, with a twist...

Who can be the first to correctly answer the question???

I have no way to give a prize but you will surely earn respect, for your amazing intelect, from everyone here if you are the first to know...

Todays catigory is world history.

During the Spanish American War there was an all volunteer Cavalry Brigade, nic named Rosevelt's Ruff Riders, made up of many aristocrats but 3/4 of which were cowboys. They were made famous for the "Charge of the Light Brigade" up San Juan Hill in a battle in Cuba.

Your question is...

What kind of horses did Rosevelt's Ruff Riders ride in the famous charge mentioned above??

True enough there are two "Charges" with that name...
Perhaps that is why they stopped calling units The Light Brigade???
