I believe the dice are rigged
Hello. I have not played here at CC for some time. Now I am back. When I left, I was a paid player and I won a lot of dice rolls. Now I'm back and I am losing a lot more than I win. I believe the dice have been rigged to work against people that aren't paid members and maybe people that are new. This would scare people off so that the people who win a lot of games don't have to worry about new people doing better than them!
I'm not sure if anyone has ever mentioned this before, but this is worth looking into. I'm have a degree from community college in science and I will be examining my dice rolls in the future and checking the statistics with great care.
If you have any thoughts about this phenomenon, I'd love to hear them. Thank you for your time.

The document pluto linked to is 107 pages of graduate level mathematician thesis work proving the randomness of random.org
I personally started running Magdoogles battery of tests but our dice file was too big and crashed my computer so I didn't try again![]()
And the M guy isn't THE DEFINITIVE SOURCE for random stuff...the NIST battery of tests (provided by the ever so efficient US gov't) is just as highly respected and incorporates some of Mdoodle's tests.
Random.org passed all of those tests.
If you need visual aids:
Random but not "realistically random" should be debunked by this:
which shows the output of all the files are relatively evenly distributed within expected random variation. If the dice weren't "realistically" random, the tops of the different colour bars wouldn't come so close to matching.
If you'd rather us use a pseudo-random number generator, without spending millions of dollars (because we all know we're ROLLING in cash charging what we do) we could always use the built in rand () function in PHP...but then we'd get something like the image on the right...
On the left is random.org...one seems a little more random than the other, no?
Granted, these have been provided by random.org...but I have personally watched some of the dice's most ardent critics (who are actually mathematicians) run analyses on the dice and come up with the same conclusion.
You roll thousands and thousands of dice here. Hulmey, you have personally probably rolled more than 50,000 dice here (762 games, assuming 10 rounds per game, 3 rolls per round, 2 dice per roll...at a conservative guess). How many do you think you have rolled in real life?
Yes, you WILL see odd combinations and streaks here but you also play a LOT more games and roll a LOT more dice meaning you a re a LOT more likely to see them.
Again, if anyone can give me a test they want me to run on the file, please, do send it to me, I'd be happy to run it for you to prove once and for all that the dice are random.
Re: I believe the dice are rigged
Hey Box! No worries, twill just rigged the dice against the Stache. You understand...
Re: I believe the dice are rigged
Boxcutta, you shouldve stopped after saying dices were rigged agaisnt unpaid members.
It's sorta plausible and possible, even though unlikely.
After that it just didnt make any sense.
If dices were rigged, they would make unpaid members win so that they enjoy the site then pay the fee, they wouldnt chase them away.
Besides, lots of thread about this subject if only you cared to scroll down just a tiny bit or browse a few pages.
The sharks will soon come in to eat you up.(yup, I was actually being nice)

Re: I believe the dice are rigged
ya the stache, a fav subject of yours.
Re: I believe the dice are rigged
See - I think it does make sense, but I need a bigger sample size to be sure. The post edbeard made doesn't have anything to do with what I'm talking about.

Re: I believe the dice are rigged
I am a new player, but I have questions about this too. How much does it cost to get the dice rigged in your favor? I am currently playing for free, but I would pay for the advantage. Also, what is STACHE?
Re: I believe the dice are rigged
You should get the dice analyzer, HERE. It will help you with greatly with your examination of the dice.Boxcutta wrote:I'm have a degree from community college in science and I will be examining my dice rolls in the future and checking the statistics with great care.
Also.... Get over it. The dice suck sometimes.
Re: I believe the dice are rigged
so you're saying that they make the dice worse for non-premium players and better for premium players yet when you look at the dice overall, they appear to be dice that are following the proper distribution. Right.Boxcutta wrote:See - I think it does make sense, but I need a bigger sample size to be sure. The post edbeard made doesn't have anything to do with what I'm talking about.

OMG Is this true?? OMGOMGOMG
Re: I believe the dice are rigged
It certainly seems plausible to that conquerclub would take care of its paying customers first and foremost. Boxcutta seems to have experience as both a paid player and a non-paid player, and he seems to be a pretty smart guy.

Re: I believe the dice are rigged
whoah, Boxcutta, I thought you were banned a long time ago. Welcome back.
I don't think the dice are rigged. what would be the point of that? How would the people in charge of CC benefit at all from having rigged dice? The point of CC is to attract new members. Cause new (free) members means more possibilities of purchased premiums, more $ for Lack. If they tried to scare away the freemiums with bad dice, why? It would mean scaring away possible premium members, meaning each one scared away could be $25 less that Lack gets. Doesn't make much sense from a business perspective...

damn skippy. I thought those pills you got were helping? Maybe try them on the dice...Boxcutta wrote: I need a bigger size

What does this have to do with anything?wicked wrote:damn skippy. I thought those pills you got were helping? Maybe try them on the dice...Boxcutta wrote: I need a bigger size
Re: I believe the dice are rigged
there have been top 3 players on the scoreboard that have never purchased premium. so it's not true... and I've developed a trick to win much more than I used to after analyzing how the dice works on this site, but I'm not telling how... I might tell to paying customers
Not really... it's my secret that is very simple and I know others that know the trick as well...

Does it involve knowing when to stop attacking?Top Dog wrote:it's my secret that is very simple and I know others that know the trick as well...

CC blows man, but there is nowhere else to go

This is relevant to my interests. Will you share your secret?Top Dog wrote:I've developed a trick to win much more than I used to after analyzing how the dice works on this site, but I'm not telling how... I might tell to paying customers

It's not cheating is it? I think anyone who cheats should be band.

Re: I believe the dice are rigged
no not cheating and really pretty simple, I actualy got the trick from someone and I expanded it also and no it's not just as simple as know when to stop attacking...
Since I joined the site I've noticed the dice being kinda wierd so I just sorta took notes of the dice patterns and I developed a method I follow that HELPS my dice but I still am working out some kinks that maybe someday I'll never lose
that would be cool
that's not really possilbe anyways
Some don't believe me but I've just recently been getting a lot more wins from following my method...
I found this post a while back that was pretty much a small report on random.org and how it works and I sorta thought about what he said and just recently figured out how to use it to my advantage (in a recent game using my method 30 vs. 7 came out to about 26-27 vs. 0 and this would be normal not just one time thing...)
It's a very little something I think helps... still not telling... just figure it out and study the dice...

Good for you TD....errr a quick question...is this why you have lost 10 out of your last 14 games?Top Dog wrote: Some don't believe me but I've just recently been getting a lot more wins from following my method....

Regarding King65 and his stupid comments. You should all know that he is a bit of a welcher who has a long history of refusing to pay his debts. I mention this just in case one of you is foolish enough to bet him or loan him money.

Re: I believe the dice are rigged
please do keep on topic dearest stache. king is gone for now.
which shows the output of all the files are relatively evenly distributed within expected random variation. If the dice weren't "realistically" random, the tops of the different colour bars wouldn't come so close to matching.
