The Really Simple Tournament (Classic) [WINNER: blindmatt]

Postby Coleman on Sat Jun 14, 2008 3:49 pm

Image

Concise description:
  • This is a simple 16 player, single elimination, 1v1 tournament played on the Classic map.

Specifics:
  • There were 16 spots available.
  • All games will be Classic Map, 1v1, Sequential, No Fog.
  • Everyone who saw the topic helped vote on settings, they will be Flat Rate, Unlimited.
  • If you win you advance, if you lose you are out.
  • Seeding is highest ranks vs lowest ranks. This is a very common way to seed in competitive sports. So the top player is against the 9th best, on down to the 8th best playing last place.
  • Ranks were considered at time of my noticing players joined.
  • If I stay with this series enough, every winner will be invited back to play in a grand, really simple, best out of 3 tournament.

Why so simple?
I had problems with abandoning tournaments for a variety of reasons because they were too complex and lasted too long. These will be done to completion, I can see to that. I just can't promise I'll be into it long enough to do a really cool bigger tournament between the winners at the end, but I hope so.

Everyone who posted is in. 4 more spots.

I think someone showed me once a neat trick where I can link you directly into the game and past the password even though they are password protected so I'll try to have fancy pms that do that for your convenience. Hopefully I can find it.
