Hey Rev,

Enlighten these poor souls as to the significance of Stach emblem. You know the hand with the fingers stuck out at odd angles. What does that mean?.......lol

And I would consider this on topic. If you want to be a leader of this group shouldn't you let them know what you're all about?

Don't get me wrong. I think you're as fine a human being as I've met here. I'm just concerned about you leading this little flock of lambs out behind some building where a whole bunch of guys with mustaches are waiting with wool shears and meat machetes.....

due to this, I do not wish to have Knight as the LEADER of The Jesus Freaks, but still encourage him to be a Founding Memeber and help set up this new clan

Wow!! It does seem as though you're being pretty restrictive about who can, and cannot, be a Jesus Freak. This seems especially odd if you are truly considering the Rev as a potential leader....lol

lol, are you serious that you think I want rev as the leader???
rev mis-quoted my post to say that i wanted him to be leader

i'm not being too restrictive as to who should be in the clan, just who should be the leader
jay and i both tend to run into controversy, which is not somebody who should be in a leadership positioin

I think members should be believers that Jesus Christ is who he claimed he is. (Son of God, messiah)

That the Bible is the word of God.

others?

we should have each person who wants to be a memeber post a statement of faith...
here's mine...

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ,
His only Son, our Lord:
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into hell.
On the third day He rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty,
from there He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Holy Christian Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
Amen.

Maybe you guys would be better served by hooking up with Jargo and the JC Warriors. Not saying that you have to join His clan. It's just that you probably have enough guys to make a go of it between your two groups. At least enough for a good strong start. Talk to him. Maybe you guys can work something out?

None of you non-Catholic/Anglican/Orthodox Christians should believe that we should have a leader anyways. That spawns a "corrupt hierarchy" in the Church! (gasp!) ;)

Oh oops I forgot to ention there is a board of 5 people I work with to set the rules. That is why they aren't up yet. These people may be replaced after the rules and criteria, etc. are posted. In fact 3 of them are looking to have someone who can devote the time to take over for them.

Okay, the following people are interested in joining:
1. happysadfun
2. Caleb the Cruel
3. jay_a2j
4. Blitzkreig
5. Knight of Orient
6. stinkycheese
7. OnlyAmbrose
So, we have the 5 people needed to start the clan.
Now, we must have a leader.
Please post or pm me who you think should be the leader of the Jesus Freaks.
Then we also must make standards on joining.
So far it has been suggested that everybody accept the Bible as the Word of God and that everybody post a statement of faith.
So now post any other standards that should be adopted.
If anybody wishes to join or back out, do so now by simply saying so by posting.

I'm Evangelical, and we have the Chairman of the Evangelical Board of Milwaukee, then Wisconsin, then the Mississippi River States, THEN national. Plus my church has a boatload of pastors.

Parliamentary election. We vote, then that person is the King. Then we vote for our board, and the King approves or disapproves of the spot. Then we serve a six month term and vote again. That way we don't get corrupted.
