Music! Mash-Up......

Postby KoolBak on Wed Nov 08, 2006 10:16 pm

Anybody heard of this style of music! It is awesome! My brother just made me a cd with 20 songs on it and I think it is amazing....it is 2 songs blended into one...like ZZ Top Sharp Dressed Man and some chick party song together....Sweet Home Alabam and Werewolves of London...Jimmy Hendrix..all kinds....

Anyone know how to share music over the internet??

Bizarre but cool.......

Last I checked you could share music over aim.

And yea I've got a few of those songs...actually you should check this out:
http://www.illegal-art.org/audio/grey.html

Basically it's Jay-Z's Black Album mixed with samples from The Beatles White Album. You can download the whole thing completely free and legal.

A friend's band did a good mash-up of ZZ Top and Black Sabbath, switching the lyrics of two songs with each other.

If I can find that CD, I'll post the song someplace.

CoolEditPro (Now Adobe Audition) is a very good program for this sort of thing.

if you like mash up mixes check out 2 Many Djs and also Radio Soulwax. They're some of the best as this style of musical tomfoolery.
