Exclude tournament games from waiting game limit

I enter many tournaments and I have well over 10 tournament games waiting to start and then there is mapblaster where I have to join 42 at one time. This is a major problem from me as I would go over the limit. If tournament games didnt count towards the game limit it would be alot better for those who frequently join tournaments since this happens from time to time, when people dont join games and people have to wait a few days for a replacement.

If the system were to be changed to make it so tournament games dont count towards the amount of waiting games you can have it would make tournaments alot smoother to join and also cause more people to join the tournaments, since there are likely people who dont join since they already have alot of games waiting to start.

my list is currently at 50 (do to map blaster plus many other tournaments) but because my list is at 50, i cant create any new tournament games! even though im not playing in the games, i cant create them either... this is BAD because my tournaments stay on a schedual, when this schedual is interupted it ruins the flow i have very closly managed... not to mantion participants get annoyed (espcially free players who are keeping a spot open SPECIFICALLY for my tournament) this rule is not good... we need it changed to exclude tournaments for sure

This would only work for premium members. For non premium members, the 4 game limit counts the games that are currently active and waiting for players. If the limit is lifted for tournament games then a player has the potential for playing in more than 4 games at once. The change should only be for premium members. Also, the limit for waiting games should not have an effect on games created for a tournament.

definately agree... but for me at least the time limit dosnt effect me too bad since if players dont join in 3 days they are booted and replaced not that it matters though cuz i cant create more games for my players right now

Nate, could you drop one or two of your waiting games and see if that will let you create tournament games?

There's a limit on waiting games? That seems silly I always thought that as premiums we could join as many games as we desired. Why is there a limit on waiting games at all?

There is a limit of 50 games awaiting players to keep away problems such as a user unintentionally creating hundreds of games, or a script intentionally creating hundreds of games.

ayeaye, i dropped a couple of the map blasters since, and i can create games again... But now i have 50+games i still need to join but cant do to the waiting, not to mention other tournaments that are sending me PMs for my games

as long as im not at 50 i can create games that im not in... but it will slow things down in other areas, such as say killmanic is up in one of my tournaments to join 4 games or so, but he is full in waiting so my tournament still ends up slowing way down waiting for hims other games to fill so he can join mine?

andy-ayeaye, i totally understand the reasoning behind it, and for the most part its a good idea but in the realm of tournaments its hurting more then helping

Agreed, if something isn't already in the works (I'm not sure at this exact moment, as know a lot of behind the scenes Tournament stuff is going on), I'm sure it will commence sometime.

Just make sure the other organizers know that you will be the last one to join your games. I believe this happened to one of the players in one of OPie's tourneys. Just tell everybody to be patient, and if they don't, PM a TD.

the problem with sometime is the more this happens the more it causes the problem and thus they cycle repeats it has to be solved quickly or it could fully kill tournaments.

but only for premium..
non premium can still only have the 4 game limit...
and that could tend to be problems in tourney games 2...

Also, I had 50 games awaiting players and tried joining 2 players which would(obviously) start immediately but I couldn't due to my 50 games waiting for players.
