what would you do in this situation?

the game is in round 101 and there are no signs of progression happening anytime soon. My strategy so far has been to hold on to by bonus and stock up until I have more armies than anyone else, but as Blue is getting a bonus of 7 and I am getting 8, this will take about 60 or 70 rounds, assuming no one attacks me
I am Yellow by the way

I like your strat, keep it up, but watch out so blue doesn't suddenly hold Asia when noone can break him.

I've had exactly the same stalemate in a real life game. (I was in Africa/SA). Bad news is we got bored and stopped playing heh.
Re: stalemate - please help!
As Yellow i would charge into Oz with all guns blazing, then take out blue little by little. Then I would never play No Cards again.
Re: stalemate - please help!
I just started a sequential no bonus cards game. I guess I better make sure my internet connection is paid up for the year.

Why did you leave Southern Europe completely undefended from Blue in Middle East?
I don't play no cards games for this exact reason--it's too easy to get into a stalemate. Sorry I don't know of any good strategy for you.

Re: stalemate - please help!
I won the game and got lots of points =)
I entered into an alliance with one of the other players to tip the balance of power and things kicked off after that. There were some complicated truces and alliances going on but I eventually managed to gain power, mostly by using the tactic of taking bonuses that are undefendable at the end of a round, then waiting until a player starts the next round... it's probably an undeserved win to be honest, but I have learnt a lot. I will definately be more inclined to join flat rate games from now on.
