Lets all get to Know Each other Better...

Hello I am Franzino(Soloman), I am just your run of the mill father of 5(4 boys 1 Princess) who happens to Love playing here on CC, and the board game in real life. I have a fiancee named Tracey(Trackersdream) who also love this game and plays online and a notoriously obnoxious baby Brother named Anton(Risk Master2000) who introduced me to this site.

My oldest son Demitri loves to play also but I do not believe he has created an account here and prefer the Online game Rune Scape which he plays with Anton and his friends since my son is 2 weeks older he gives his younger uncle a hard time about all wins. I have another son Named Marsell he is 9 and not quite good enough to play with his brother but loves to play Castle Risk more then traditional.

With this all said I wanted to get the introduction and basic Background out of the way so I could delve deeper into the minds of the rest of the CC universe. I have found that I get along with 98% of the people here but that 2% drive me nuts. I am hoping that this thread can be a sounding board where with interaction on a basic postive level maybe some of the factions can get to understand each other and there backgrounds and start to bridge the scisms that has us at time at each others throats.

Since we are online people have a tendancy to lash out and present themselves in manners that they would not normally present themselves in the real world. If we can bring back some of the human factor of player intimacy(as far as basic knowledge of an individual) I feel we may become a less abrasive CC. If this thread catches I will engage and share more with those that share and are interested.

Well I hope this thread can eventually be the lngest running thread on the site. I look forward to learning more about everyone friend and foe...

So you follow up with this post. im not fooled for a second by this. I thought it was added bonus how you speak of your secret alliance partner "brother" too. it really touched my heart.

Actually that was deliberate... I don't know why but I thought it'd be kind of fun to say 'quite that better' as if it was proper English. Parroting the original poster I guess.

The point I'm trying to make is that I wasn't bashing it over the thought of molesting family members, nor over thoughts of elaborately designed eight-door basements.

I was the first person to sign up for premium the day it came out and havn't looked back since.

At some point, because I had a background in being a mod and offered to help lack set up a mod team. We agreed to a temporary "help you out" arrangement...that was 2 years ago yesterday...damn.

Anyhoo, I have all but stopped playing games (not enough time because I spend all my time here working) but will join most any non-team game I'm invited to. I still love it, got worse rather than better and sill love playing on a real board (if anyone will play me that is).

Hello all.

I joined the site about a month ago after my roommates introduced me to it. After the first night of staring at the screen waiting for my next turn, I promptly joined premium. I'm still trying to get the hang of it as well as this forum idea.

I'm a recent college grad and now work as a lab manager. Yes I work with monkeys. Seriously, everyone I tell that to thinks I'm referring to children and while the they have similarities, there are obvious differences. You can't lock up children and the monkeys are much more rational. I spend my time reading and trying to get out of the lab at a decent hour as well as hoping that I don't get called every weekend. I'm single, no kids, and three pet mice (Milton and Tom and Dick Smothers). I'm heading off to school in the fall and hope to get into medical school the following year.

To impatient to read the whole thread, so I read the first 5 (or so) posts.

Darn, Wiki says no mod jokes... so

I first started playing risk when my 7th grade math teacher had was teaching probability and had everyone make a board game that was probability related (PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't start dice flaming on this comment people) and one person made a risk board game of the school. I loved it, and have taken every chance to play since then. So, here I am 3 years later, on CC. I found it in (GASP) a google search. I know, I'm a rarity here, but I actualy went out of my way to find CC. since then I've loved playing CC.

My favorite parts of CC are the Jesus freaks forums, the threads like this one, and the ever expanding selection of playing one of the great classic games of all time, risk.

Oh, and if you ever play against me and I bring up some random topic, it might help you to know that I'm cursed with minor (and by minor, I mean MAJOR when I'm not trying hard to pay attention) A.D.D.

OK, I was introduced to this site by my son Doug,"THE ARMY" ; I have 6 kids, and 3 of the boys and I love war games. We like chess, CIV IV, Diplomacy ,Axis and Allies, and most competitive games- even poker. I'm an Internal Medicine Doc, in Upstate NY, and like playing here ....it's very addictive. Will likely become an Official "Premium", but I like the silver color better...
