Who said I found this thread offensive or insulting?
I agree, a tread like that should not exist... if you want to have a conversation about god, a public forum is not the place... but still, there WILL be offensive things in places you'd rather not see them. But what are the chances that complaining will ever stop them?

Well, if you really want to know what he was thinking when he created the thread, or what the heck he's doing with it now, why not ask him? You could always PM him if you wanted to, and I'm sure he could provide a better reson for starting it than any of us could. After all, this seems to be a one sided thread with no point more than bringing more attention to the thread so it can offend others.

Well it didn't work. I expect people to be uncomfortable when discussing God, at least those who don't know Him. If a person is a true Christian the thread I created would not offend them and I can't understand why it would offend anyone for that matter. It's a discussion. You read and respond if you choose. What is offensive about that?
If for some reson you are offended by the Logic Dictates There Is a God thread I have a solution............ Don't click that thread.

Actually Iv'e always found that it is the ones who profess to know him, sorry Him, that are uncomfortable with discussing him/Him
I am not uncomfortable discussing someone I don't know personally...but generally try to keep an open mind until I have met them in person...in this particular case I will not be holding my breath..( unless by holding my breath indefinitely I might end up meeting him/Him....nah!)
Seriously though it is an interesting thread and worthy discussion..I would have preferred a less contentious tiltle and poll to the thread but maybe that's what got it going...
Keep up the good work Jay

So, what are you waiting for? "Seek and you shall find". God is not a secret, those who truely seek Him out will find Him. God wants to have a relationship with man. It is our sin that prevents it. But He has made a way.
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but through me."

Well technically we don't know if Jesus actually said that. I mean, witnesses aren't always 100% accurate. Plus that's hearsay, and is such inadmissable as evidence.
Let me read the Gospel according to Jesus (rather than Luke, Mark, Matthew, etc.), and then maybe we can talk.

First of all Jay, the reason it offends me is because the title makes it sound so close minded against other religions, and being a firm believer in the message "love thy neighbor" I know that this refers to other religions too.jay_a2j wrote:strike wolf wrote: And it was only meant to offend Jay_a2j.

Secondly, I said on page 1 that its mere presence in this forum irritates me.
third, Define a "true" christian. There are many types of Christians from Catholics to Mormons.
Finally, that post was more sarcastic than anything else.

Saying "this thread should die" is pure spamCaleb the Cruel wrote:I simply dont have the will-power to read all those long, boring posts in that thread...so I think the only thing I've posted in it was "this thread should die" a few times...
Plus you have said that you strongly believe in christianity so I dont understand why you think the tread should die.
As for Jay being a monster, I disagree. He doesnt try to instigate yelling matches. I believe that he wants to see a good debate, and his title drew people in and started the debate. Jay tells non-christians that they are stupid, he's not a bigot and he defends his points in an educated way. He is kind of like an anti-caleb.
