Or the Malverns!!Noslen wrote:I couldn't quite see it written here, but there are no mountains between south wales and england. It is in fact the severn river. Of course the severn is large enough to count as impassable. Just a 2penny worth.

The one with flags and the typo was the first version of the revamp and is not the image being used now. The most current version is the other one on page 1, also on page 40.t-o-m wrote:sorry if this has been mentioned before:
but on your 1st post just below where you've quoted your XML, the map image with the flags in, is there there a type-o: Irlrand instead of Ireland
also is that the image your using/working on or is it the one with no flags??
sorry if these have been mentioned, only skim read the post

Great idea Ian... and good catch on Glos.iancanton wrote:in the map, it appears that cumberland can attack lothian & borders. the xml confirms this. this is a change in gameplay from the original british isles map, so i think it isn't intentional. perhaps u can redraw the cumberland-northumberland border to meet the one between dumfries & galloway and lothian & borders as a four-way, then plant a watchtower in hadrian's wall in the middle of the four-way (to block the diagonal attacks) – maybe something that looks like a chess rook.

in the key and the xml, change gloucester to gloucestershire.

Ian I beleive changing the border is the simpliest option so I think ill be sticking with it. Ill do the gloc change right now before I forget againiancanton wrote:in the map, it appears that cumberland can attack lothian & borders. the xml confirms this. this is a change in gameplay from the original british isles map, so i think it isn't intentional. perhaps u can redraw the cumberland-northumberland border to meet the one between dumfries & galloway and lothian & borders as a four-way, then plant a watchtower in hadrian's wall in the middle of the four-way (to block the diagonal attacks) – maybe something that looks like a chess rook.

I think Ian's solution is a pretty good idea - and wouldn't be too tricky for you to do.
The BI artist said he wasnt to bothered about minor gamepaly changes. Ians options good but mine is less likly to cause any type of confusion. (we all know who stupid some people are)
Have you also addressed peoples concerns with the wall yet?
I made tweeks to it a little. but there isnt really much I can do with it.
