Okay....hold on for just a second, we may have a slight change of plans.

Some of my clanmates have glanced through the thread here and we are wondering if you guys are up for an "anything goes" situation or not.

My guys seem to think they can hold their own no matter what settings you want to pick for your home maps and they are wondering if you feel the same. If so, we can just let each side pick whatever they want and really go for the gold.

Thoughts?

Mmmmm... Go for the gold... Are you trying to butter me up Prime? :D

Im really not a fan of having freestyle in this, especially in team games because of the different strategies and our team not really specializing at being all on at the same time. But if its really neccessary, Im sure a few of my clan mates would be up for it, I just think it could be a bit controversial and dont want a tarnished challenge... Two cents end here...

I hate freestyle too, but how would it "tarnish" the challenge? As is my understanding, freestyle just increases the importance of working as a team to win. Isn't that what this is all about? "one team(clan) is better than the other", kind of thing. ;)

Working as a team is a lot different than "playing" as a team. Our clan has several members that live in different continents, thus i doubt many of us would be able to take advantage of the freestyle strategy of playing as the same time. Your team might have the same situation, but might not, Im not sure, but I dont want this clan challenge hanging onto a controversial game where because two players were on at the same time they were able to take the upper hand in a game.

Working as a team can be done in sequentual as well, and there are only dice and deploy that can be variables, not the gameplay gimmicks as well.

I find your statement quite amusing, GK. You ask me why? Because in this challenge there's 1 freestyle game by our clan and it's a triples game with me being in Europe and other 2 from America. Also, I'm playing in doubles with my usual doubles partner and we're playing Seq though according to your theory we should be playing Freestyle because sitting in the same room, computers next to each other would give us a 100% win.

Read the quote again, already pointed out you might have the situation...

And by saying you only have 1 freestyle game doesnt help the point, only helps make more sense that why do we need that 1 freestyle game? It really doesnt matter to me, as I would never play a freestyle game anyway, but just putting it out there that there are ways to play in freestyle play that would give a team a large advantage.

well its there problem, as we get to join the game and will have the distinct advantage of when we join it and get to move first.

personally i would not use it, but we can just use that to our advantage.

Isn't that the point? That the good teams have an advantage? If you don't want that, we can always play flat rate games on small maps. Oh wait....
