Americans are tired of doing it.
I thought this is what the U.N. was set up for.
( I hear they've appointed a committee to look into the prospect of having a committee look into the issue. ) They should have a rough draft by 2012!
Yes, it's a shame the U.N. can't hold back its renegade members from invading and attacking others, even breaking its Resolutions in the process.ksslemp wrote:No, but i wish they would.Stopper wrote:Have the UAE ever appointed themselves as World Policeman?happysadfun wrote:Where is the United Arab Emirates' Armed Forces?Mirak wrote:There is genocide taking place in Sudan at the moment....where is the US Cavalry?

the past few posts are retarded. the US gov. couldn't care less what the IRA does that looks like a internal british problem and in private US citizens want to give money to them thats up to them. i garentee there are people in the UK who send money to other terrorist groups. and what the hell does mcdonalds or coke have to do with the IRA? i cant even remeber when the US gov. talked about the IRA. why would the UAE even matte rin world events they are a good country because they keep to themselves. alot of the things ameria does in the would is ignored because they dont make as good as news as how the big bad US terrorized some innocent freedom fighters in Iraq. how many american orginzations feed people and clothe people and help them out of their shitty lives? i garentee if the US became an isolated country like we were in the early 1900s then the world would take a long time to recover. America is the only country that could become fully self sufficent within a few years. how many other countries produce so much food that we could feed our entire population easily and then sell more then we used ourselves? not even the chinese, russians, iranians, or even the mighty koreans. no other country can do what we do. no other country is nearly as strong as us. and no other country has come so far in so short a time.
now give some actual reasons why people might hate america instead of petty reasons like the IRA, Kyoto Protocol.

why would you say up a creek with no paddle? when your up a creek all you have to do is float down.
OK, what about private US citizens that want to give money to people who bomb the US? Because it's private, it doesn't matter anymore? Or are you saying that UK lives just matter less?terrafirma wrote:the past few posts are retarded. the US gov. couldn't care less what the IRA does that looks like a internal british problem and in private US citizens want to give money to them thats up to them.

Well, no, I don't think they can actually. I dare say that by now, the US has a whole raft of laws prohibiting funding of terrorism!terrafirma wrote:they can give the money to whoever they want thats what is great about our countryStopper wrote:OK, what about private US citizens that want to give money to people who bomb the US? I am afraid my friend I must ask you to take a good look around yourself and rethink your last statement.
we are supposed to have a constitution.
we had a constitution.
now we have a peice of paper that no one in power cares anything about. If you take a look at the laws on the books, nine out of ten are a violation of the constitution. but that does not stop them from arresting people for them every day.
our society, and the constitution it was founded on are long gone. now we live in a two party dictatorship where the people with power and money decide what we do and do not do each day of our life. the only difference between the us and north korea is we try to cover up our shit and they air it daily.
I wish the constitution was still valid. it would make living in the usa so much better every day.

Ever get the feeling you have 200 men with tanks and rockets, and they are getting their asses kicked by a neanderthal with a stick???
It is called auto attack!

You could do worse than look up "Patriot Act" on Wikipedia, and see what it says about "Financial Anti-Terrorism Act". It's not very detailed unfortunately, but it seems like a lot of hard work looking for specific American laws prohibiting giving money to terrorists. Let's just assume no civilized country allows people to fund killing other people, and presumably nor does any constitution!terrafirma wrote:see we probaly would if we didnt have a smal tiny thing called a the consitution. the constitution says we can do what we want as long as we dont infirnge other peoples rights so you can give money to whoever you want.Stopper wrote: Well, no, I don't think they can actually. And yet, a naive country like us gives terrorists citizenship. And if they find out that they are terrorists, you are saying that they should not take action because they are now citizens?
Children, this is what happens to hockey players, druggies, and Hillary Clinton.Rope. Tree. Hillary. Some assembly required.

Terrafirma, you know I'm on your side here, so I hope you'll take my advice on how to present your arguments:
>Don't sound agressive or sarcastic. It's counterproductive and will only make people MORE unwilling to agree with you.
>Grammar counts. It's a lot easier to understand if you check your spelling and grammar, and it gives you more credibility.
>Less passion, more facts. It's good to be passionate about what you believe in, and I for one think that I am quite passionate in my beliefs, but a debate is not determined by who-has-the-most-passion, it's determined by who can coherently present facts which JUSTIFY their passions.
>Know your stuff. For instance, on the constitution. It's really whatever the Supreme Court interprets it as, and I highly doubt that in the current atmosphere the Supreme Court would rule that it is constitutional to fund terrorists. Given that we are in a WAR ON TERROR, funding terrorists could easily be considered treason.
Keep these pointers in mind and you should do fine in the future =)
