FORMAT CHANGE - Starting for the next season.

I will be switching to two divisions of 12 players.

Games will be started gradually. ie. As the first set of games are finishing the second will start. This means that the table can be updated as each set of games finish and people will be able to see how they are doing.

I think this will make it more fun as players can see if they are battling for the title, fighting relegation or up for promotion. The bottom three in div 1 will be relegated. The top three in div 2 will be promoted. Any drop outs in div 1 will be filled with the next position from div 2.

Hope this meets with your approval.

Why not make it groups of 8 or 10, that way its easier to move up!

3 up 3 down 6 stay still in div 1. Will have playoff system for a 4th promotion from div 2 which includes the 4th bottom of div 1 and 4th,5th,6th in div 2. This will be 2 semi's and a final to decide who goes up/stays up.

Division 2 was won by Attrideshouse with LLLUUUKKKEEE runnerup.

Division 3 was some waht decemated with 2 drop outs. However, Lufsen75 whitewashed the others. Insomniacdude finished runner up.

In Division 4 Aafitz whitewashed the others with ralphcptc runner up.

The next season will start soon with 2 divisions and one game at a time.

Little confused about the scoring, I tied Chadwick in every category, so if that doesn't qualify for a win would it not be good enough to be the runner up?

though I dont get the scoring on this either... how did some play different numbers of games? were we supposed to play more and miss them? In any case, I want more!

I want to change it because I find that players who get relegated drop out. Staggered starts for games will mean it is easier to administer and it will mean I will be able to publish tables after each round of games.

I think it will be better to see who is fighting for the title, promotion or against relegation. As soon as one round finishes the next will start so you will be getting games pretty regularly. Setting up 60 games at a time is hard work to be honest!!

2 players dropped out in div 3 and 1 in your group hence the different number of games. The scoring was wins of 7 moves or less get a bonus point and defeats of 7 moves or less get -1. It was 2 points for a win. That was to differentiate as there were only 5 games (max).

From now on it will be 2 points for a win with players on the same points separated by the least number of winning moves taken. If this is equal then the player with the higher number of moves in games lost. is placed higher.

OK New format starting with division 1. If they all play then division 2 will start asap.

12 Players per division bottom 4 go down, top 4 in div 2 go up. 2 points for a win, plus 1 for a win in 7 moves or under, minus 1 for a defeat in 7 moves or under. Players level separated by the result in the game between the two players. ONE GAME AT A TIME. Tables updated after each round of games.

All of the first set of div 1 games now started. Had a couple of late drop outs and some slow starters. The last two games will finish soon. Table will then be posted and 2nd set of games started.

Div 2 will start at the same time.

There are a few places left in div 2 if anyone has any fiends who would like to play.
