although the mets had to use 3 different pitchers, and ended up losing anyways, they did an awesome job in the 6th inning when the bases were loaded and there were no outs... the mets know how to get out of those kinds of situations, at least better than the cards can get out of them as shown in game 4..... oh and mets fans--be sure to watch tomorrow's game as it will be the last mets game of the season...although i'm fully certain the mets will lose tomorrow, I now have a great deal of respect for them

The Mets just couldn't get it together last night. I am in no way saying it is over, because it is very possible to come home and win two, but, not if they play the way they did last night.
Oh, and Pujols is supposed to be a professional and made those comments about Glavin because he is a sore loser crybaby bitch, and should be deported.
Pujols:
He wasn't good. He wasn't good at all," Pujols said of Glavine, who threw seven innings of four-hit ball for the victory. "I think we hit the ball hard, we didn't get some breaks.
"I say he wasn't good at all. We just didn't get some opportunities and that's it. . . . (Glavine did the) same thing that he always does. Throw a changeup, fastball and that was it. I just think we should've done a better job than we did."

This thread is officially DEAD. Do not post here anymore. The Mets were robbed. Chavez saved a two run homer and for what? He shoulda just let it go. I guess Beltran was waiting for an underhand pitch. Well anyways, Detroit sweeps the Cards... and it could have been an interesting World Series.
THE DEBATE IS OVER...
