Thinking about making this tournament for a few days now, the first tournament gave me the taste for more, so here it comes. The second tournament from the allmightly (obvious?) White Moose!
Age of Realms: Magic is a very popular map. In my last tournament it was in, but then as 1v1. In the public circus it's mostly played as 6-player games. So, by this tournament we will know who are the best at it
Story
You take the place as a young wizard. In your adventure you had to fight against other wizards who wanted the same thing as you. Yes, they all wanted world domination. So fight your way through the other wizards and become the Wizard of Magic!
Settings
This tournament might perhaps a little more complex than most tournaments, quite simple to understand still.
The 48 combatants will be divided into 8 groups with 6 in each. Each player will play at LEAST 3 games and at most 12
How round 1 is played
Each group will play 3 games against eachother. After these games, 3 wizards will be eliminated. The wizards who are eliminated is decided by a simple point scoring. Which i will now explain.
The winner of a game gains 5 points.
The wizard who comes second gains 4 points.
The wizard who comes third gains 3 points.
The wizard who comes forth gains 2 points.
The wizard who comes fifth gains 1 point.
And the wizard who comes last doesn't gain any point.
After 3 games, then the total points gained will be added together and the 3 with the highest points goes through.
If there is a tie, then the one with the most wins comes first. If no one have won any game, then the most second places comes first. If no one came second either, then the one who came third the most comes first. If for some reason still is a tie, then the wizard who survived in the games the most rounds comes first.
When i've explained that we've come to what happens to the 3 who goes through to the next round.
How round 2 is played
The total 24 winner from the first round will be divided into 4 groups of 6. You will not meet anyone you met in the first round.
The points you gained from the first round is reseted, so everyone is on 0 points. After that, the second round is played as the first round. 3 wizards will be eliminated after 3 games, and 3 wizards will walk on to the third round.
How round 3 is played
The 12 wizards who made it this far will be divided into 2 groups of 6. You will maybe meet someone you have played before. The points has been reseted again. The rest is the same as the other 2 rounds.
How round 4 is played
The forth and final round, the 6 best wizards has come this far and will now fight a final battle for the crown of being the winner of the Wizard of Magic tournament! The points is reseted once again, and the games is played as the final round. And we got ourselves a grand winner!
Secret round 5
You thought it was over now, didnt you? This round will only be played if the one who gained the most TOTAL points in the whole tournament isn't the one who won it. This wizard got a little angry! "I got the most points, and still i didn't win? This sucks..". He got so angry that he challanged the tournament winner for a 1v1 Age of Realms: Magic battle!
It will be played as a best out of 3.
