What's the worst type of driver?

This was brought up in a discussion between a friend and I.

I really got to thinking, what kind of driver do I most fear? It's really tough, and usually not such a great idea to generalize, but look what I'm doing anyways.

Feel free to mix each category together to create the "Uber Bad Driver". And vote.

2. Senior Citizens
3. Middle-Aged Folk
4. Women
5. Men

Lol, if your being stereotypical then we all know who they are.

That's the thing though, is that many different groups have been stereotyped as 'bad drivers'.

Yet nothing about race or sexuality actually makes a driver good/bad. There are bad drivers in any category of people. However, old people can be proven to be bad drivers due to slower reaction times, and bad vision...

I don't know why, but I find the idea of bad driving and who the culprits are very orgasmic.

well, actually -- since the majority of this website is teenagers, i expect you'll all huff and puff and flame my house down -- but statistically speaking, across the board, the worst drivers are teenage boys.

responsible for more fatal accidents than any other demographic and responsible for more fender benders.

im 17 and learning to drive, and its gonna cost so dam much with all the lessons, paying for the test even if i pass first timei will be lucky to keep it under£1000. And then ontop of all that once you pass and buy a car, the insurance if your driving a polo costs a little less than a bugati veron. I think that the car insurance companies should be sued, their sexist and age-ist if it were the other way round some women would have already made it 'equal' Can you imagine if they done this with race? Its pretty much the same thing they are doing here charging people differnet amounts for totally stereotypical reasons, surely this isnt legal!

I read somewhere that the statistics are beginning to even out, and the rate differences really only apply to when you are younger than 25. Hold out a bit... perhaps there'll be a change soon. If not, you'll be that much closer to 25.

Why do other countries make you wait so long until you start driving? I started legally driving at age 15, as do most American teens. Always has baffled me.

Anyways, here in the states, the color of your car can actually alter your car insurance rates. It's crazy.

I knew some friends like that... Except they just lied on their driving log and got their provisional after 6 months. Probably worse than what you did.

Seriously though, how could you wait till you were 18? Didn't you want to drive places yourself and have that type of freedom? Killer.

Actually, I waited until I was 18 to get my license, and before that, I would usually just walk everywhere (yes, my town is small enough to do so).

I actually read a really good article about this a while back, I'll have to try and find it and post a link but,
Statistically, teenagers have more accidents then any other category of drivers, though elderly people were up there too, and while women have many more accidents, those are typically something like a small dent, while men though having far fewer accidents typically total the car, or have some form of really costly damage.
