PM Notification On Start of Some Casual Games

* Suggestion Idea:
To have the option of getting a PM notification for some casual game. The same as is done for speed games now.

* Specifics:
Ideally, I'd like the option of receiving a PM when certain casual games start.

* Why it is needed:
With certain settings (FoW, Freestyle) I'd like to know that a game has started, so I can check on it immediately. The last player to join currently gains a slight advantage in these game settings, because they can see the board before anything changes (helpful in the fog) and can possibly hide some parts of the map from their opponent(s). In freestyle, it's a definite advantage to (at least have the option to) act as soon as the game starts.

yerp same place as the current pm.email notification for games is now.
i think it would be quite easy for all casul games notification. though unsure how hard it would be for the varients

why not make a field where you insert game numbers and you get notification just for those games. or even more simple. add a bookmark button inside each game. when you bookmark it you get a pm notification.

the only prob with that is that it requires u to go to another page enter the number your waiting for...
though it is an option too
id like an option for all games...or just freesyle. or just tournament etc...

that or like a check box at join game screen saying notify by pm when starts

What about on your Awaiting Players tab putting a check box that says "PM at start"?

This could also be toggled with something like the RSS to "Watch This Game" once it has begun.

I don't understand the benefit of this. You can get email notifications when its your turn. So in Freestyle you would get it the second the game started.

Getting a PM would mean you'd have to be logged in and on the site in order to get it when it came in correct? Otherwise you are checking your PM's after you've already been to My Game page and seen the game has started. If your actively logged in wouldn't you notice when a game started? An email notification seems to make more sense. You could get an email and then log in.

What about making email notifications happen at the beginning of the game instead of when its your turn. This would work for FOG games. I do find the email notifications for my turn kind of annoying when I've already seen the game start.

how about when you join or start a game you can then go to your games waiting tab and then click a link "notify me" and then when that game starts it sends the pm
