Very nice. The washed out writing could be a little clearer, but not essential. The font used for the names is really good
Territory ideas.
I did think of sugesting Mecca and Medina, but having checked a map I think they are too far south. Baghdad could fit on the map.
You could put some Templar ships in the Med and how about a territory for the assassins.

I think Cyprus should be connected to Acre, Tripoli and Antioch. It would have traded with these cities during the Cursades and it would make the 3 cities hard to hold like they were during the Crusades.
I would be inclined to split Cyprus up into two as least ( i know it was only one state during the Crusades but it might help gameplay)
As mentioned before something has to be done with Damascus. There wasn't really any boundaries at the time but maybe you could make up a few.
Impassable between Tripoli and Beirut and Tripoli and Antioch (Tripoli was most vunerable by sea i would like to see this reflected in this map).
Bonus for Jerusulm it was the objective of every Crusade so it should have more importance than the rest.
I agree with sam_levi on sea link between Tripoli and Acre but not between Beirut and south unless you include Eygpt and Cairo.
Very good first impression though

Re: The Crusades
One important thing for a map of the Crusades would have to be Jerusalem. If you don't want to alter the gameplay with unique rules and changes, why not make Jerusalem its own continent? This would simulate it's importance in the region, and it would probably be attacked and conquered constantly throughout the game, just like it was in history. Especially if it borders 2 or more other continents/regions.
Re: The Crusades
Congratulations on a month and a half bump. The mapmaker has disappeared from the Foundry premises.

Re: The Crusades
Even though I like this theme I think you should finish the Roman Empire map first Guiscard since the gameplay is totally different from qwert's. Why start a new project when the other one has been on hold for nearly a year?
It seems you have limited time at your disposal right now. Better focus your energies and finish a map than start another one. Good luck!

Re: The Crusades
I definitely think that this map needs more territories (maybe you just haven't labeled them yet), but I also think that there could be some boat routes involved. That would spice things up a little, and maybe you could even add an etching of a ship of some sort of the time/area. That could give your map some pizzaz.
Re: The Crusades
Guiscard is GONE, people... let it die.
Re: The Crusades
dang, I think this map would be pretty good if it could reach final forge...

Re: The Crusades
Maybe we need a new creation, if anyone is willing to take it on I've got a few ideas for game play.

If he is gone you can probably borrow from his creation. In any case, the crusades would make for an excellent map so I do hope you can pick this up.

You didn't see when I made conquer city (which was later abandoned) I don't have a clue how to make a map.
