well, i think we're gettign a large amount of NA maps because most risk players are from north america.P Gizzle wrote:yeah, i dunno, there's just sooooo many rich and wonderful things about NA and such great history
As far as the civil war map, the state boundaries are almost the same as they are now, so unless you use different boundaries, and use one and two way barriers liberally it is doomed to be like all the others.
as for the F and I war, i had no idea what you were talking about either (and i just took AP American History last year...) but i just realised it was the french and indian war, which was an outgrowth of, i believe, the seven years war. (history teachers in the US are a bit ethnocentric, so most ppl in the US feel the need to give it a different name to separate us from europe)

history teachers arent too ethnocentric, most just love their country, that's why they're history teachers.
yes, i believe it is part of the 7 years war, but i believe there were conflicts between England and France in other places at the time as well

US history books say that Britain made the first shot, and Britain history books say that the americans shot first according to the revolutionary war sections in many of both books.)
well most historians believe the Brits shot first i think, either way it dont matter they both probably shot at the same time

that euphoria will definately go down once you start going into the root causes of all of our wars (businessmen's greed, banks' greed, and corporations' greed)Knight of Orient wrote:u gotta love history. i found out intwo months that all ive ever known about history has been a lie. l8r guys
that and learning that the "1 less than half the documents" for DBQs has jsut shot up to a minimum of "1 less than the total number of documents" i strongly suggest taking AP Comparative Politics, which i'm taking right now. everyone says its a great course, and really exposes you to other countries and their political systems and customs

wow, thats pretty intense. I had, by far, the shittiest history teacher ever. He woudl ramble on about current events when we should have been doing things like talking about the transportation revolution and most people in my class got 4s and 5s
plus, AP's really aren't about recalling facts quickly, its more of an endurance race than a sprint. So the ten seconds to recall a fact is bullshit, coming from a person whose taken the course before.

well if by "we" you mean the wealthy demi-aristocracy of america, then yes. If you mean the soldiers who acutally fought in the war, and were later forced out of their homes because they coulnd't repay loans, the no.P Gizzle wrote:ttocs wrote:But american historians are mainly the ones who study the revolutionary warP Gizzle wrote:well most historians believe the Brits shot first i think, either way it dont matter they both probably shot at the same time

i mean we as in the demi-aristocracy yes. it indeed does suck that the soldiers didnt get much money, but they sure did have fun killing the British at their own gamecowshrptrn wrote:well if by "we" you mean the wealthy demi-aristocracy of america, then yes.
