I was pondering the same thing, but he is arguing that Conquer Club does not do a thorough check to find multis, they just block players. I don't think this thread is about their specific case, just an example of a flaw in the system.

Actually, theres no flaw in thr system. 1500 people have been blocked or busted. They cant check first, so they block or ban, with enough evidence, and then they give every player the chance to explain. Technically there is a flaw in the system of course, its just that its a result of not having an unlimited amount of time or people to look into such things. Its not a flaw as is, because they handle it in the only practical way that is currently possible. There is a big difference.

The problem is, anyone with real knowledge of the game could fake this anyways. Cd and used to play all the time together, until she got sick of it. She used her laptop, I used my computer, but obviously, I could have made her up and used the account as a multi.

There is no question that there are people doing it right now.

The ones that do it for a chance to play some different games, arent nearly as bad as the ones using them for points, but its cheating the game nonetheless. If there was an option to pay to have this option, many including myself would take advantage of it. Id pay almost anything for a second account to just have fun with, and focus only on points with my main one.

Personally, in this case, I think steve should have just laughed it off, and maybe asked his wife to handle it, but Ill bet she doesnt care enough, and probably wishes the game didnt exist, as many wives im sure do. If she was posting that she played the account, and steve never touched it, I dont think one player would have suggested the opposite was even possible. Either it was true, or someone went so far to cover a lie in an internet game, that any post would have been just pointless.

Once this game hits the million player mark, Lack is going to need a permanent body guard, because at that point, the number of wives with a grudge against him for ever clicking the enter button at the start of this game, is simply going to be a serious threat.

In this case, the block actually has no effect. I think steve is more concerned with the implication. But the block was completely confidential, and im sure it would have stayed that way without the thread.

Everyone knows theres no way to know the truth absolutely in a case like this... they just felt it was worth a block to make sure no problems arise in the future. Eventually, its possible all family teams might have to be blocked like this. It would be very unfortunate, and its the very reason why the actual cheaters ruin the site, and why they are hunted and chastised so much. They steal points, cause suspicion of all, and require countless hours on investigations...

vace cooper and his wife fwblb, play in doubles games together and tournaments all the time... i love when we are in a bunch of doubles together, because it is really funny to take turns with vace on skype, then have them switch seats and war machines on the same computer, so i can take turns with fwblb in our games. but then again, coops wife is the shit and mega cool, he is lucky he can afford the monthly payments to keep her around!!! there is NO WAY coop scored her on the up and up!!! A2zsteve, sadly we don't have secret cameras in everyones homes (as interesting as that may be), so we go on the slew of information which we have in order to keep this site fun for everyone.

We average a multi bust or block every hour of every day to keep ConquerClub multi free.

Your account raised enough suspicion to warrant a block, but not a bust. We're not evil...if there are two of you, we just stop you from playing together. If not, well, at least you can't screw other people over.

We place our precautions on the side of the majority of players for, hopefully, obvious reasons.

Sorry your two accounts can't play together, but it's in the best interest of the club.

That aside, I agree with AA in that the system is as good as it can be, unless lack is planning on employing a lot more multi-hunters, which would be impractical. Hush up now steve. You always seemed so reasonable before so personally I'll just put this one down to having a bad day

I disagree...the mods jobs are hard enough and if they have to step down everytime for a decision that is disliked, well there won't be enough people to fill the vacancies.
