Tough call. Both are good, though CoD 4 threw me for a loop since it had done WWII for so long, then again, Halo 3 did as well with a few surprises in it.

Haven't played the fish yet (cod).

But the general consensus is that it depends whether you like the single player or the multiplayer most.

COD will probably win, it's for the 360 as well as PC and the PS3; it simply has more players.

I haven't played it yet personally, I don't like games that try to be realistic.

i dunno.... i remember going on live 3 days after halo 3 came out, and there were WAY more people on it than ive ever seen on COD4

The CoD4 campaing is vastly superior to Halo 3, but Halo has the best multiplayer. I'd have to go with Halo, since I perfer fighting with my friends.

I just can't get into playing CoD4. I don't know what it is, though it's probably that it's too realistic.

Actually, I'd never even touched the series 'till I'd played it at a friend's house. Halo was the same way for me though, yet even then, I enjoyed playing even when I died whenever I walked out into the open.

CoD4 all the way. Mostly because I hate XBOX and HALO fanboys. Also CoD4's realism is what makes it fun for me, I'd rather play a realistic shooter than a sci-fi. That's just me though.

btw, Solid Snake would destroy Master Chief any day of the week

Throw in Chuck Norris and that would be the mother of all fights. Toss in Mr. T, Dante, Kratos, Bruce Campbell, Sephiroth... shit... I might have gone too far... you get the idea. Head-explosm-action.

I lovvve Call of Duty 4, I'm closing in on 10th prestige.

COD4 blows halo 3 out of the water. Yes halo is fun but it doesn't compare to COD

i played halo and only played cod4 in demo.......and have neither a xbox or ps3 but id say get a xbox.....im doing the pc gaming just have fun and dont forget about cc

call of duty definately! i own a ps3 so im slightly biased but i honestly think i would prefer cod anyway. realism over sci-fi anyday. online is awesome, single player is brilliant but short, this has and will keep me entertained till gta 4 comes out.

the best multi-player ever was 8 player death match in the first GTA. used to play it on a LAN with everyone else in the dorm.

the gameplay and fun of it still triumphs over any of the nextgen multiplayer games i've seen, Splinter Cell included.
