Can you tell me where albanian army help Nato in some operation? Can you imagine Albanian army and US army together in some military operation? I only know that in Kosovo now grow Crime and Drugs Mafia, and US army protect Albanians. Everybody forget what albanians done with Serbian Monasteri and Chirch from 13 and 14 century, and nobody say nothing.i understand afterall i wudnt want my country losing land, and i dont mind the protests, aslong as there peaceful i dont mind, but for NATO this is good since we now have more allies in the balkans
well to be honest qwert i wud of not liked kosovo becoming independent but because of the recent genocide that happened there i think they shud be independent or atleast have their own parlament, like scotland has hereqwert wrote:Can you tell me where albanian army help Nato in some operation? @brooksieb: Actually they have it's own Parliament, and that parliament declared independence (Serbian representatives in it didn't show for the meeting so it was unanimous).brooksieb wrote:well to be honest qwert i wud of not liked kosovo becoming independent but because of the recent genocide that happened there i think they shud be independent or atleast have their own parlament, like scotland has hereqwert wrote:Can you tell me where albanian army help Nato in some operation? @ qwert: I can. I saw (with my own eyes) various UN peace keeping forces just 15 years ago that came from various African and Asian countries. So why should Albania be any problem?
@ milosel5104: Actually first Yugoslavia (Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenians) is my area of expertise. My personal opinion is that that country was corrupted and she was fixed so Serbs can be dominant nation.
btw Real Serbs (Serbs from Serbia) never honestly believed in South Slavic idea (it was idea that started in Croatia in 1/2 of 19th century). Even Vuk Karadžić claimed that all štokavci are Serbs and Garašanin made his Načertanje that was unofficial plan of any Great Serbian organization till modern times. http://www.geocities.com/CapitolHill/Lo ... srbija.gif
I don't believe that Serba is genocidal nation. And I admit that you have the right to be angry at the rest of world. But comparing numbers who killed who (mostly) in Kosovo during just the last 100 years? You lost Kosovo in Milošević era when your open conflict turned to ethnic cleansing (not just in Kosovo).
At least you (as a nation) must face reality and admit that you made monstrous things to Kosovars. Most of the Croatians (me included) admitted that my countrymen made some horrible things during the war and we made some mistakes that we now can't change but we could make the difference now with persecution of our war criminals. Can you really say that in the case of Serbia? How many Serbs were convicted because they killed Kosovars? Maybe that's the reason you lost Kosovo, but that's just my opinion.
EDIT: I don't want to preach you. I'm just trying to tell you, as a (not so) neutral third party, why most of the world is supporting Kosovo.

ignotus: If I would say that WE never did any bad things, that would be a lie. But ,you and I are well-avere (is that the word) of wars in balkan's.
Everything would come down to "an eye for an eye". Milosevic was a dictaitor, and he made our country monstruos. We have our war criminals, but most of them is in Hag. But, what about a KLA, albanic terrorist? They weren't diplomats. They hanged my neighbours mother!
There was not "genocide" like CNN says, that was fight between KLA and
serbian anti-terrorist.
Brooksieb, you are right, the way it should be IS like Scotland in UK! But Kosmet(Kosovo) has own parlament for more than 40 years.Vojvodina also.

World
It's not true that we are mad at whole world.
Spain,Romania,Moldavia,Greece,Russia,China,Cyprus ... they are against this "independence".
And I'll say again that big protest was planned to be peacefull, and 500.000 people came in peace, but group of 300-500 drunk hooligans made this protest look bad. Now CNN says that 500.000 people burned US embassy.

Don't worry, we got a fairly balanced picture of the protests in the UK. Did seem like a violent minority rather than a mass action.milosel5104 wrote:It's not true that we are mad at whole world.

But you do have to recognise exactly why those countries object to independence. Each has a vested interest in the issue due to their own political situations.

My stance on this is if they want to go ahead and separate, that's fine, but they'll have to defend that separation if they want to keep it.
Being from the U.S., I wholly support separatist movements anywhere (whether it's Kurdistan, Taiwan (yes, China is still claiming that they own Taiwan), or Kosovo) but they'll have to defend their declaration, just like we did. And hey, if they're lucky enough to get the backing of several major powers, then more power to them. If you'll remember, the American Patriots had some very important help from one of the world's then two most powerful empires.

What about Afghanistan? When they wanted to brake off from SSSR, Americans supplied them with Stinger missiles and other weapons. Now Us is their primary target.
