Right now all game options work in any combination.
This option would be dependent on choosing team games.
I'm not saying that's absolutely forbidden, but it makes me want to work on something else instead.

how about having a new turn mode for doubles/tripples/quadrupels: team sequential; it would b a bit like freestyle within the team but in the whole game it would b sequential. the team takes their go and then the other team takes theirs after that...? maybee or maybee not?
let me know what u think...

Re: A new turn mode?
That's how team games used to be played (I believe). It was changed to the current method for a lot of reasons. The only important one is that the new method is the only fair way to do team games.jakejake wrote:how about having a new turn mode for doubles/tripples/quadrupels: team sequential; it would b a bit like freestyle within the team but in the whole game it would b sequential. the team takes their go and then the other team takes theirs after that...? maybee or maybee not?

Team Sequential (Freestyle-Sequential for Team Games)
Team Sequencial:
Suggestion Idea: Basically it would be a doubles/tripples/quadrupples game and then when it comes down 2 people taking their turns, it would go as follows:
the team bit is the sequencial bit, within the team is freestyle, so the teams would take it in turns in their go.
so when the whole of team'1' takes their go, it will change over 2 team'2' and so on...
if i havnt explained it clearly i'll tryn give an example:
say u were playin a quadrupples game, u r the last player 2 complete ur turn...any of ur team isnt allowed 2 take their go unless 1 person out of the other team takes theirs...my proposition is that the whole team must take their go 4 it 2 b ur teams go...get me!!?
Why it is needed: It would ad a different aspect of the game and could possibly make it more fun

That actually sounds pretty awesome, but I don't know if we could get enough support for the idea to justify the addition.TaCktiX wrote:Perhaps a modification of this would work. Any member of the team may start his turn, but once he does, the rest of his team cannot take their turn until a member of the other team does. In other words, play order would be relatively random.

if the rest of ya r talking about deadbeats then how about on normal sequencial and freestyle - ur always gonna have that problem of deadbeats...

Team Sequential
Concise description
Props to Metalmesh for his assistance with the development of the idea.
- Adding a new style to gameplay: Team Sequential
- The options for play style would be Sequential, Freestyle, and Team Sequential
- Team Sequential is only used for Doubles, Triples, or Quad games
- The process works by letting each team have a freestyle turn, but only for the team who's turn it is.
- Vets enjoy Freestyle because it allows teams to utilize the map and partnership to full advantage. Often I and my friends have wished that we could take a freestyle turn without the interference of the other team(s). This would allow each team in succession to take a freestyle turn without any of the other teams interrupting.
- One of the problems with freestyle games is the necessity of camping the game for when it pops. With a Team Sequential you don't have to camp the game anymore; just wait for your team's turn to come, then you get together and perform your attacks, forts, etc.
- A Team Sequential mode will add a totally new dimension to the CC that we know and enjoy right now. This would enable new strategies, tournaments, and play styles. It would change the way that certain maps are played.
- Above all else, it would be fun.
Props to Metalmesh for his assistance with the development of the idea.

Re: Team Sequential
I completely agree. I've felt this way for a while.
So, essentially it's a freestyle game, but it's only freestyle for the team who's turn is up.

hi Deltanimal
Thanks for your suggestion. It'd be useful if you used the suggestion form:
If you could edit your first post and represent the suggestion in that form that'd be cool. Also please elaborate on how your suggestion is different from the existing Doubles/Triples/Quads - which are all sequential team games any way aren't they ?

Re: Team Sequential
Thanks Deltanimal
So - an example using current triples: (T1 A B C & T2 D E F)
Play order is A D B E C F ... and repeat for subsequent rounds ...
Do you mean (i) :
All of T1 (in any order) followed by all of T2 (in any order) ... and repeat for subsequent rounds ... ?
Or do you mean (ii) :
Anyone from T1, anyone from T2, anyone from T1 (except person who just played), anyone from T2 (except person who just played), remaining player from T1, remaining player from T2 ... and repeat for subsequent rounds ... ?
You seem to mean (i), but this seems flawed since T1 will have a huge advantage. I can see the appeal of (ii) though ...

Re: Team Sequential
I'm pretty sure he means everyone on one teams plays as a freestyle game, then once everyone's done with their turn, the other team has a go. I thought about this and figured it wouldn't be too good, because whichever team goes first has a HUGE advantage.
Re: Team Sequential
He means that all of Team A goes as if they are playing a freestyle game, then all of Team B goes as if they were playing a freestyle game, then Team C, etc.
It's not much different than when there is a freestyle game up and the last two people jump in. My friends and I do it all the time. We get the first start in the game. This way it's more random who gets to go first. Also, I've played lots of good teams like GTE and ksslmp that usually wait until everyone has gone the first round, and then they go. So really it depends on your play style.

Re: Team Sequential
Well as said previously option (i) is a little too one sided. But that is why if for the initial round play would be in a normal sequential order of A, D, B, E, C, F. and then the sequential rounds, team would act as one. But I can see how option (ii) as said above, would also be very interesting.
Re: Team Sequential
This had been a previous type of gameplay, or at least team-sequential had been. It was removed because it is very unbalanced gameplay. The team who went first had a great advantage.
