Comments: The name is offensive not only offensive but he screams it at you on the page This name should be retired for ever not to be used at all by any one . There are many children who have entered the CC world and there are many advantages to them playing but they do not need to be exposed to this kind of abuse

It's been brought up before, but we don't censor swearing...since it is not directed at anyone and not breaking any of the site guidelines the name is allowed to stay.

If the game chat is rude or inappropriate it is a perfect case for negative feedback and ignore list. That way others are warned about the player before hand, and you won't have to play with him or read gamechat from him in the future.

I am sorry I was shocked and yet I thought I had an open mind and was a free spirit But these last few months I have been shocked by the attude of some of the players and I have been embarrassed for my son who at 11 plays and enjoys playing and I see the the advantages in his development as a player and in his knowledge of geography it's Great for him and other young players . But do we condone blatant swearing for the sake of swearing

The required format for raising an issue about a player (or players name ) ,is to place that players Name in the Subject of the thread. If he or she had used the "F bomb " I would have had nothing to say about it. And this thread would not be here

We have seen worse on CC, somebody used his P-nis as an avatar for god sake, and I believe there are worse names out there.

If you don't want your son to come across nasty names, then search for them and put them on your ignorelist.

But if you really want to keep you son away from the evils of the world, don't let him access the internet. or be next to him when he does log on and plays

if we start censoring CC, then what's next? words like boob, n00b, arse etc etc.

I know we can not lock him away for ever, some have tried and ended in jail ( American speak) and I don't want to limit freedom of speech but I would like to think that we can control our selves in public. Or am I more old fashioned than I thought? The Internet is in his room and it stays at this stage he has done nothing to show the trust we have in him is unfounded. Trust me both his Mother and I check what he is up to.

Is there an answer to this I don't know perhaps a young persons gaming area where there are more guidelines ? lets kick that around for a while.

I agree that the is to many teenagers with raging hormons filling the internet with childish comments and names with references to sometihing they know very little about, but I think it's a comfort that 99 % of the users are responsible people here for the same reasons.

Dear mumbles, please use the English language in a way that’s not totally offensive to any native speaker and the general public. Your last 2 posts were a truly painful to read. I wonder what kind of example you are setting for your 11-year-old son.

As to your request. It has been officially answered. Please move away from the subject. Take some time to read the guidelines and regulations of this site. You asked if Fucker was an allowed name, the reply was yes. No more discussion please.

As to your comment about a childproof section on CC, if that was a suggestion, then you are posting it in the wrong forum. Please try again.

Myself, I have just put fucker on my ignore list. The name reaks of an immaturity that is likely to contaminate any game so it becomes less fun. I suggest you create an ignorelist of your own and make sure your son copies that list. It should solve most problems I think.

Ps, I did notice you do not quite mind posting quote’s of people who write things like f*ck shit ass bitch one. In essence this makes you write those things too. Maybe a little hypocritical, but then consistency is only required in others. At least I know it’s easier that way
Have a nice day,

OMG what an awesome way to start the day. This guy is terrific. Read his feedback. He is intentionally screwing up all his games.

I would love to shake this fuckers hand.

I was wondering about this too. I was in a game once where a guy and his team mate where using the freestyle turns system to make us wait 23 hours and making it so we would miss our turns. Because of them I don't play those types of games anymore which sucks because if it wasn't for that I would love to play them.

Basically if they manage to play first then you play, they will not start the next round until there's 23h and 30min left on the counter, typically when the other players are asleep or at work. So we automatically miss the turn, and they never start a round if one of the other team members is online, they wait until we log off so they maintain their first status.

I've complained about this but everyone seems to tell me "if you don't like it stop playing." so I don't. I just find it anoying because the only efficient way to counter this is to check into the game every 30 minutes for 24 hours a day. And in the end they both gave me a negative feedback after their the ones who use a dishonest and anoying tactic and Flame war me in a game.

Anyway... that's only the beginning. I was getting really annoyed because I asked him to stop and he just ignored me. I said, "You give team players a bad name" and he unleashed an avalanche of curses at me. The more I argued with him and asked him to stop the more he yelled some at me. And I'm not just talking about amusing Flame war cursing, I'm talking serious 'as much hate as he can direct at me' cursing. By the end he'd called me a F**ker, Pr*ck, jerk face, ass Silly, whinny B**ch. Everything you could think of he used.

Now I know not to take serious offense because words can't hurt you and he's the sad one because the way he was playing he's probably some loser who spends 90% of his time in front of his computer screen. I was just annoyed and a bit surprised we allow this kind of Hate-Chatting to go around here. Some people may be sensitive and as it has been mentioned there are children who play this.

I'm not saying we have to definitely change anything, but I wanted to offer my own opinion.

Edward, there was a recent rule change for freestyle games. Now, no matter whether the other team has taken their turn, the team/player that went last can begin their turn halfway through the next round. So, you would be able to move in the round at your leisure. As to the offensive language, you can put him on your ignore list. I know this is not a solution, but at least you will not have to deal with it. Hopefully, people like that will eventually just not be able to play any games because they are on too many ignore lists.

Ah... well good then, I guess I wasn't keeping track of the Freestyle games.
Thanks for clarifying! also I'll look into having the ignore thing applied.

I guess I have too much time at my hands. I am not a native speaker, and my writing skills are seriously lacking, but then I try o use a spellings checker and that helps.
Mumbles lack of using dots and paragraphs gives me a headache because I really need to concentrate on what it is he is writing. For someone claiming to have his son’s upbringing at his heart, he shows a severe lack of maturity in his posting.
As for myself, obviously I do not have children.. Nicely observed. J Well chat with you later.
Have a nice day.

then you should know how hard it is for anyone to 'speak' english on the forums when it is not their native tongue.

besides... if you want somewhere where you have nice paragraphs and fullstops and whatever else you want... stop reading through this forum right now and go read a book. welcome to the internet buddy.

Ok so you might not have children... what about friends? (i am assuming of course that in spite of your language bashing that you have friends?)

EDIT:wtf? CLOSED?!?!?!?!?!?!? how come i can post?

Great to hear that mumbles. I am glad this all did not put you off CC.
I hope he (and you) have good enjoyable games and equally enjoyable opponents.
Perhaps we can butt heads together in a game sometime? Good luck in your games.
